Matt Reeve most likely will NOT do "Super Villain's" Like Freeze, Crock or Clayface in the way some would think. He's is clearly trying to keep them in the grounded believable incarnations....Maybe something closer to Dick Tracy's rogues gallery. Very ground level crime freaks. On Bat's next suit...I honestly hope they don't change it. When they do they usually make it look worse IMHO. This suit was so right. I hated it at first but I'm a believer now.

What if They do The court of owls and Penguin gets involved in it since he’s gonna be the kingpin and rise to power in his series and Batman has to use his detective work to figure out who’s apart of it and finds Penguin and interrogates him asking him about the court of owls and who are they but Penguin doesn’t budge because Batman is now a symbol of hope so he’s not scared of him but The court of owls are talking to other monsters and getting them involved to take over the city so like a little rise to power of the court of owls taking over the city slowly but Batman is trying to figure out how to stop them. It would be cool to see like an Arkham style hostage room with the henchmen patrolling around and batman not necessarily grappling from vantage point to vantage point but doing stealth and fear like takedowns sort of like Arkham knight with the thugs getting more and more scared.

For the sequel, which I’m titling “Heart of The Batman” I hope they do Mister Freeze and it takes place in the winter. Seeing a flooded Gotham frozen over would be amazing! Penguin should be the secondary antagonist. He takes full control of Falcone’s organization and is hellbent on killing Batman. I also want to see Killer Croc in this film, but more of like an antihero/misunderstood monster like in Batman: Earth One. After the flooding, he acts as sort of a savior to the poor and homeless people in Gotham, protecting them from criminals. Him and Batman form a truce to stop whatever Freeze is planning. We’re also introduced to Harvey, who’s a childhood friend of Bruce and helps him get out of his reclusive shell by sharing the plans he has to make the city better. Robin is teased at the very end. For the third movie, which I’m titling “Trial of The Batman” I want the villains to be Two Face and the Court of Owls. Batman, his new sidekick Robin, and Harvey are coming close to exposing a secret organization that’s been controlling Gotham the whole time. This is why Riddler started the flood in the first place. He saw the whole city as a corrupt cesspool because he discovered the Court of Owls. When Harvey is about to expose the truth, a Talon tries to assassinate him but fails, leaving half of his face permanently damaged. Two Face then wages and all out war with the Court.

personally I think that the series most needs a scarecrow as I think they could really play with the more grimy tone these films hold as apposed to how he was done in the Christopher Nolan franchise and I think that scarecrow could seriously set Harvey dent up for the third film as we could see a kind of team up with the Joker done obviously by Barry keogan but also I think it would be cool to have hush as a side villain that pops up every no and again in each film

I would love to see Harley Quinzel introduced in this world. Especially since the Joker is already in Arkham. Seeing her as his psychiatrist and eventually turning into Harley Quinn. I'm sure Reeves would do an amazing job and this could be transformed into a truly terrifying psychological thriller. I love Harley as a character but i always wanted to see her in a less cartoony and quirky version. This setting would be perfect for that. Also she could have a slower development, similar as you described for Harvey/Twoface.

I like your analysis of the songs connection to Bruce's arc, I really liked the use of something in the way for the first movie because it was already in a dark tone, with it being in drop C and it was already a slow song whereas alot of other movies like taking a song and slow down the tempo and add reverb to make it more dramatic. Not to say there wasn't editing on the version of something in the way that was used in the movie but, I can see come as you are definitely being used as an already slow song. Those are just my thoughts, but I love this series! keep the videos coming #crowdedfortheholiday

I loved the Nolan Batman Trilogy, but always felt like we didn’t get enough of Two Face in the films once he fully transformed. It felt like once Harvey became Two Face he had one or two scenes with Batman and then just fell off of a building. Two Face would be perfect for this series of Matt Reeves’ films especially with a slower build and arc like what Boba described so we see him introduced in the second film and how it leads to him being the main villain in a third film. Aside from Harvey Dent / Two Face, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy would all be villains that I’d love to see in this Batman universe.

Referring to yesterdays live-stream. You we're saying how it would be sad for Bruce and Selina to go all the way, with regards to that it's true that the more he becomes Batman the farther they grow apart. In the same way, it's what there relationship is based on; when one or the other is about to go off the edge they pull each other back and they keep each other sane. In regards to introducing the Flying Graysons, maybe to tie in with Selina.She has 2 - 3 scenes with Bruce and then 1 with Batman. She maybe meets Bruce at some type of charity or auction and he asks her out and then at the end of the movie they go to the circus or something of that nature.

Two Face would unfortunately be incredibly tricky to pull off without feeling repetitive, but if done right and handled differently enough from Nolan’s take, it could be incredible. I hope they do, because I feel TDK failed to capture how personally his turn hit Bruce, as you talked about, but also the very duality that makes Harvey Dent’s character so fascinating. In the comics Harvey is tormented by a sadistic and violent alternate personality that he has repressed, but which emerges in response to trauma. I feel he is the only villain to really effectively ask us whether they are worth saving from themselves. Most of Batman’s rogues we all know are sadistic psychopaths and will never be more, and we wouldn’t care if they died, but Harvey is a good person, and Bruce desperately wants him to be freed from curse, and we feel that there’s a chance he might not be beyond saving in spite of all the atrocities he commits as Two-Face. Whereas TDK never indicates his history with mental illness and we assume he just became a total monster of his own volition. So I believe there’s totally room for another iteration of his story that emphasizes Bruce and Harvey’s relationship and Harvey’s struggle with dissociative identity disorder, which I would be 100% down for.

I agree that killer croc could be a possible support character in a role like Selina's in the first film. He could be an ex mob informer of maroni's, and then went into hiding after the drug bust. He was treated as an animal and so became more like one. The flooding pushed him out of hiding in the sewers and from there he started killing, but his human side doesn't want to do this. Would be nice to see him be teased through a case and then revealed half way or two thirds into the movie. To have an arch where he helps batman and struggles to be more human or more croc would be an interesting thing to see. Would be similar (not the exact same) to a moral that freeze or Selina brings to the story

I don’t know why, but I think Killer Croc should be in the penguin series instead, maybe as a supporting character. Because the flooding of Gotham could fit him and he would be useful for Penguin as a muscle and spy. I think he could fit since they’re origins in the comics are very similar and I think this show should connect the two villains, since they were both treated as animals (due to physical and genetic deformity), so I think it could fit for Croc to be in the spin off.

Hey Boba, I love your channel I’ve been watching since your early Gotham days. I have two things, first thing is more of a comment because I haven’t seen a single person point this out, but did you notice throughout the movie, Selina’s white pointy acrylic nails started to pierce through her gloves more and more throughout the entirety of the movie. The beginning of the movie the nails didn’t show at all, and by the end, the nails completely showing through obviously resembling her cat gloves from the comics. A hidden detail that I just adore every time I watch the movie. Second backing off what you were talking about during this video about theming for each movie, what if Freeze was the villain for the second movie and he helps Batman show compassion for his villains and, back to the psychologically theme, he makes bruce try to better understand why his villains do what they do on a more personal scale. As much as I love to see Harvey Dent, to see Bruce Wayne grow his character it would be good to have Thomas Elliot. With the character being one of Bruce's childhood friend it work to develop some story tied in with Hush. As Matt Reeves develops his Batman many would say it would be great to make this a franchise more than a trilogy. To have the rogues gallery be built would be great to introduce a way to maybe develop the bat family to also grow this universe to create a story to also create character in many possibilities. This was was only a thought me and my friends had so it would be nice to hear your opinion. I love watching your videos and hearing your thoughts. Lots of love and applause.

This is just a quick thing on my wishlist for the series, I would love to see a nod to some of Bruce’s training kinda like Batman: Soul of the Dragon, but not an entire movie (although I do think Reaves and Pattinson could pull it off). I just think it would be very interesting to get a better understanding of how he trained (of course it’s in the prequel book but seeing on the screen would be dope).

Killer Croc could even just be either as you said a Easter egg or perhaps a villain we see Batman fight at the start of the film then defeat him then after the introduction of the movie when fighting Killer Croc it then moves on with the story and then we see whoever the main villain is for the movie. Maybe Mr Freeze or just some other villain such as scarecrow or Hush. But I wouldn't be surprised we see more of Riddler and Joker teaming up in the second film as well.

Hey boba, after the batman came out I found your sequel discussion series and have been hooked since. I think that they really should include more fantastical elements but as long as it works in the story that is being told. The Batman did not seem to be like the nolan movies where it tried to lean too heavy into realism so they can easily make it a more comic booky/fantastical world. But if they do that they need to make sure they have a good reason. Like if killer croc were to be in the batman sequel (which I think he should be as like a side villain) they should have killer croc serve the story and batmans character arc. Like maybe a sub plot could be how after the riddler, crime in gotham is starting to be more around super villains rather than just generic mobsters, and this is difficult for batman to keep up with because he has never faced these type of threats that are more physically challenging. Something like that where they actually serve a purpose in this world. #crowdedfortheholiday

As far as aesthetics go it's essential What reason would Batman have for not having the pattern. It's probably the whole reason he wears a cape. For a batlike appearance.

#crowdedfortheholiday Hey Boba loving The Batman discussion videos. I think they should definitely do Mr. Freeze as a main villain for the sequel. Riddler really challenged Batman mentally and I think this next villain should challenge batman physically to allow from a different story from the first film. I think a really interesting way they could introduce Mr. Freeze would be to explain that the way Gotham City temporarily solves the flooding situation is by freezing the water and turning it into ice so people can at least maneuver (albeit unsafely) Gotham city rather than having to swim like that poor dog shown at the end. So Mr. Freeze could be a worker at this science company that has the task of freezing the water and something goes wrong that turns Mr. Freeze evil. Obviously needs more detail but you get the idea. Freezing the flooding introducing Mr. Freeze. Also I really hope the movie takes place in the winter that would be so beautiful.

Mr. Freeze would be cool because it begs the question of, how far is too far in pursuit of a noble cause? This parallels Batman's quest. Great movie that also posses this question is Prisoners with Paul Dano and Hugh Jackman.

I think a Soundgarden or Audioslave song like a stone, or fell on black days? Tell the tempo is slightly less dark. But it's Batman so grunge just fits in the timeline so far. Even a happy tempo song like pumped up kicks with dark lyrics. Imagine for the intro of the sequel we see someone analyzing the camera footage of riddler and Batman’s interrogation and when riddler is saying “Bruce Wayne” over and over again the camera catches the nervousness in his body language and then the man reviewing the footage says “Fear” and we go into the movie with Jonathan Crane suspecting Bruce Wayne as Batman
