@@zalybrainlessgenius503 The Furious Five were actually based on the Five Animal Styles of Kung Fu, Monkey being one of them. Monkey style to my knowledge is generally seen as the most entertaining one of them all, because of how some training drills involve mimicking a monkey's movements like run-hopping by touching the floor with one's hands, or making motions that look like a monkey scratching itself. There's also this Kung Fu/Martial Art move called Monkey Grabs the Peach (which is referenced by Hak Foo from Jackie Chan Adventures --good series-- who has similar hair to Joker here but red), and, uh, it's essentially just... grabbing the peaches. And squeezing really hard. That's actually the main reason i started watching this Just Joker series/compilation you put up. To see the combat segments for inspiration for stories and characters-- one in particular who is a jester and punk-- though there's not much difference between personality in- or outside of costume. In fact, she often mixes the punk and jester aestethics together in her appearance. In any case, the personality of Joker on display in this series is a striking one that does linger in one's mind. The faces he makes are also pretty fantastic, just like the voicework and script. There's genuinely witty stuff there, like the tapioca comment. It's pretty awesome, and thus i thank you for having made this compilation.

Another cute detail about this Joker is at 17:12 - you can see that Joker doesn't do his little laugh until after Batman already spotted him and figured out what he did. He has so much fun getting Batman's attention with all his zany antics and schemes. :)

@@zalybrainlessgenius503 thinking it over maybe we should've seen it coming: Joker(of any variation)has never liked the idea of Batman unmasked, ruins the fun as you said and has maybe seen Batman as a worthy adversary. Joker has been put through the wringer in this episode cos of Wrath and Scorn,(and at one point looks like he could use one) for him this is a good way to get them back for all the trouble and keeps the game going by keeping Batmans secret safe. (Which is touching but also screwed up)

I swear The Batman 2004 has the only version of Harley is actually like. Like all the others I either despise or tolerate but this version of her just makes me giggle like a lunatic. I like, as you said, that she was using him and she admits it too. She’s just pretty badass on her own. And I’ve never seen that last episode and like oh my god part 4 was the best compilation of joker in the series. Like I’m gasping for air over here from the excited squealing. She's what the original Harley was - she liked hanging out with Joker, but wasn't shy to hit back. I don't mind their relationship when they're on the same level - despite him being a leader and her being a henchgirl. The major difference is that she's not obsessed over him, she's with him just because she's having a blast. I like that. My most favourite portrayal of their relationship. I squealed too! 😃 Especially during the Joker Express episode, I had actual loud vocal reactions XD

Question, I'm trying to find the best Batman comic line to get into next. I read metal and have been reading some of the perpetua thing though i feel like it might be a bit too cosmic for me. I have read a lot of stories, but I was wondering what you would recommend. Ive read some of the future state magistrate stuff, and maybe i could just read the cliffnotes version there. I loved the recent "Joker" series (which was actually a Gordon comic but pretty good) It seems silly to list all the ones ive read verus ones i havent read, but what would you recommend?

Idk idk, depends if you wanna read some old stuff (pre 52) or the recent stuff. Honestly, I prefer one shots over series, but based on what you said, I imagine you're looking for a modern series. Well, you've already read Metal, but that's like a crazy fanfiction XD But the same author made a series that was of really good quality. Look him up, his name is Scott Snyder. I'd start with Death of the Family, then Endgame, then Flowers of evil, and then you'll see I suppose

ok thanks. I'm familair with Snyder and various other authors. I have read Death of the Family and Endgame, though not the Flowers one (havent even heard of it) I'm fairly well versed in Batman, I was just asking your opinion, as there are so many stories over the years. In terms of modern versus older, I'm not oppossed to reading older stories, but generally as you go back, the comics are written for younger readers. Even compare something like Knightfall to more modern stuff, and its slightly more youth oreinted. The shift sort of starts towrds the Late 90s, as people who were fanas growing up started to write themselves. My favorite is Grant Morrison's era. I have read a lot, I guess I could have prefaced that but I felt it was too much detail. You probably dont remember we but we tried to exchange facebooks but I couldnt get it to work. Anyway, I'll check out the Snyder story i'm not familiar with. I dont really buy comics, as you probably know there is a site where you can read eevry comic ever.

Glad to know you like Morrison's work, so I suppose you've already read The Killing Joke, one of the most influential Batman comics ever made. If you want something "grown up", I'd suggest Serious house on serious earth, but I'm not sure you'd understand it, it's not a typical Batman story... In fact it's barely a story. But it's really something to be experienced - in fact - just listen to an audiobook, there's one on KZbin that is very well made! I think you'd get more out of it that way. Uh. Then there's also Dark Knight returns, but there's also an animated adaptation that is just, idk, better. It's the same as the comic but visually more appealing. The New 52 like Batman RIP is kinda boring, but what do I know, maybe you'd like it. Blackest night is sweet as well, but that's more of a Green Lantern story. Same goes to Flashpoint, which is a Flash comic book, but the second volume is just about Batman! Speaking of Flashpoint, Brian Azzarello co-wrote that story, and in 2008 he wrote a comic book simply named Joker - it's an one-shot and Batman isn't in it, but it's really good and really, well, grown up. Get prepared for some hardcore scenes :D

One for example that I (think) hasnt really been explored is how Alfred met Thomas Wayne and Alfred's previous milityary serivice. I was thinking of a flashback story involving spyral then and in the present and Batman figuring out a mystery of something that happened back then which Alfred has nebver told him about. There are others, but just as a quick example. Could also include flahbacks of Bruce Wayne's growing up and becoming Batman from Alfred's persepctive.
