Yeah, LEGO Joker is unironically one of my favourite versions of character, I like how he's actually nice to Harley but still has his obsession with Batman and seems to care about him more. Also, since it's a version for kids he doesn't commit brutal murders but just spreads chaos in a way that is funny for him, that's actually a nice and refreshing change

I like how dynamic it works. Both the Vigilante and Villain episodes at the end ask you if you where really were "friends" with him. I answered yes on both. The villain ending plays the result/credit music from season 1 to remind it was your fault. Lego DC Supervillains is genuinely one of the funniest games I've played in a while, and this is coming from a 20 something adult. Just the fact that Mark Hamill himself reprises the Joker again (after he retired from the character for like the tenth time after Killing Joke) makes that game top tier. Everyone praises Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in the Dark Knight, but true fans know that Hamill is the OTJ (One True Joker) Also the game somehow manages to do the characters better in game than DC has done with its characters in the last decade or so. I think it all started to go down hill when Joker cut off his own face.

As much as I love the comics and grew up reading DC comics, I think I'll always prefer the stuff more aimed at a younger audience just because it doesn't feel the need to go ultra dark and serious. It's like you pointed out in the video, Joker and Harley's relationship in Lego DC Supervillains is genuinely adorable and they make a really cute couple. While I respect the more brutal truth of their abusive co-dependant relationship in the comics, and I think some writers have handled the topic well, there's just something more fun about seeing the two get along and be flirty.

And I agree that not everybody can handle dark subjects well, resulting in kitchy comics.

Joker is very weird, in some iterations he’s your classic flamboyant trickster that you see in stuff like the lego media. But in other iterations he’s a cold blooded serial murderer that stops at nothing to get Batman to break his morals, a much more satisfying way of winning to him than just killing him. I feel like Batman does have campy stories and dark and gritty ones but I think the best ones have to be things like the animated series where it’s a balance of the dark and gritty themes from Batman that also embraces how absurd a man in a bat costume kicking criminals to the curb can be. The three jokers theory is so interesting to me, it shows how different joker can be written, yet how there is no real way/rules to write joker. With Batman, you have general rules like Batman doesn’t kill, Batman is serious but he’s still nice, and Batman likes to work with people. But with joker it’s so much different, you could have him brutally murder people and make the heroes question their morals but you could also have him just be a flamboyant prankster with crazy ideas just to annoy/get in the way of Batman. What I’m trying to say is that I find it weird how there different vastly ways to write joker that are really entertaining, but since they are so different, taking the aspects that make them most appealing would be incredibly difficult to blend together for a sort of “definitive” joker. I guess I just started thinking about how I would write the joker and how hard that is.

As Moore himself stated in one of his comics - Joker has a new personality everyday. Thus, everything goes for him, nothing can be counted as an "out of character" moment for him, which is fascinating :D And so I feel that DC cheated with the "three Jokers" theory. Idk, I feel like that's stripping Joker of his identity, saying that all the time there have been "more" Jokers
