I thought the gang in the beginning kinda knew him already, because a guy said: "it's him". They didn't recognize him at first, but after hearing the word " Vengeance" they realized. So Bruce must have used Vengeance as his identity for a long time.

That bat mobile startup sequence sounded so sick in the movie theaters. This was one of those flicks I where I was definitely happy I caught it in the theater. I liked the the Riddler lured the Batman into a couple different mistakes (you are el rata lada) and luring Falcone into the light. I liked that the fight scenes didn't have so many jump cuts. I liked that the villains (save for Falcone) all survived because comic book movies have this habit of killing off alll the villains os this was a nice change of pace. Batman is back to the "no kill" philosophy. There were so many things Reeves did right with this film. I was actually able to watch this on its own merits and not think about the other films as I watched this. I enjoyed it. And now they have a sequel coming, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Funny to see people who have no clue whom Batman is react to an actual Batman movie. The others were made for non fans.... Not so much this one (lies, all twists and plot points are old news to any real Batman fan, Arkham's family story, Catwoman's background, Thomas and Carmine's past) but as it sticks to the comics it gives a bit a better idea how the man is. Not friendly nor nice. I am surprised to see him actually become a hero by the end of the movie. Usually, all other people refer to him as grumpy, too serious and not a pleasant person. People's normal reaction to Batman is not joy, it's fear. Even the ones he saves. He isnt' really there to save people. That's incidental, he tracks criminals and brings them down.

If I want to watch a dark slow movie I would prefer a scandinavian nordic noir movie. At least they have characters who develop during the movie and really a story to tell. And than this "I am Lenny Kravitzs daughter, so I get the roles-nepotism-catwoman". jeeez give me a break. This movie is ridiculous.

If the characters start talking about something significant and you start talking in the middle of that over them so that you miss half of the things they say, well it's a problem, especially if you are confused afterwards about what's going on. You wait for a moment where characters are not literally talking about major things. It's always people like you that say "it's called a reaction", man you can react and talk and still not miss things in the movie. No one expects silence lmao You are so out of it. This is called a bad reaction. I just don't understand how can someone watch a movie and miss half the stuff and still continue watching, what a waste.

This will be a trilogy of films. And there will be 3 HBOMax shows. Colin Farrell has already signed a contract for a Penguin show, and the other two will be set of Catwoman & Arkham Asylum. The score was done by award winning film composer Michael Giacchino. And Zoe Kravits is Jason Mamoa's step-daughter. So you can connect The Batman to GoT.

They announced yesterday by Matt Reeves that the sequel is green lite! I love ❤️ this movie and saw it in the theater 6 times! It was refreshing to see a young Batman who doesn’t have everything figured out, villains aren’t fully formed yet and we get to see Batman like 95% of the time as the detective! He starts out as Vengeance but came to realize he needs to be more and becomes hope to the people of Gotham! I’am really excited to see where Matt Reeves will take the next movie! Matt Reeves understands that Bruce/Batman is a broken character and he had arc by the end of the movie and as he grows and gets more experience and just gets better and better we get to go on that journey with him! I thought Robert Pattinson was phenomenal! Great reaction!

That is because Nolans films were just movies with the DC Batman characters in it. The Batman is the Batman comics by Bob Kane and Bill Finger brought to life with 1939's Dectective comics issue 27 and Batman issue 1, 6 months later, in 1940. It was a response to the hopeful optimism to Su0erman in Action comics and that is why Batman was created as a sleuth who is very grounded and solves crimes and mysteries. Zorro and Sherlock Holmes were the two main inspirations for Batman. So, there is a distinction but I like the fact they are being more faithful to the source material by showing the progression and evolution of these characters. It is literally showing the transformation of Vengeance to Hope so it is showing you the moment the vigilante actually transforms into Batman. Also, it showcases Bruce Wayne rediscovering his humanity after the trauma that molded him and put him on the path to becoming Batman: the death of his parents as a young boy. That and Alfred not knowing how to be there for his ward and unknowingly giving him the tools and skill sets to become Batman to begin with. All of these elements are in the comics. But, in the movie it is given more depth and nuance and layers. I can speak to the movie a lot more but this is just scratching the surface of why this is my favorite Batman movie next to The Dark knight.

One he moves out of the way and 2 Riddler clones shoot each other. And the 2nd time, as a Riddler clone goes to shoot him, he grabs the gun and makes him shoot the other one. So he's not a total saint 😂😂😂
