Machiko's empathy and compassion for Scott at the end; compassion even for someone who wronged her and treated her badly. Really wish they'd stuck to this story when making the AvP film. I'd read the novelization WAY before the movie came out and was SO disappointed with the "adaptation" they filmed. You can see the basics are in there but setting it in the modern age, and removing all the Predator point of view stuff really made a mess of things. I wish Aliens movies in general had stuck to the comic book story where Hicks and Newt, or Wilks and Billie in the rewrite, where it leads to the Earth Hive and so on. Prometheus wrecked the franchise imo, although Alien 3 and Resurrection didn't help either...
@NigelTolley4 жыл бұрын
It doesn't even need the Predator PoV stuff, really, beyond a few long shots. Trying to explain too much, demystifying them, that's the biggest risk. We know the Alien fairly well, we know enough about the Predator, but what we really care about is the Umans.
