Hi and thanks for sharing, appreciated. The realities described in this presentation reflect planning in lectures given in Berlin in the winter of 1804/5. All seems to be going according to what it calls the "world plan". Knowledge of that plan and how world building is done is necessary to effect foundational change. Without a knowledgeable realistic counter plan there is no real hope for building a better world. Cheers sincerely d

I agree with a lot of what is said here. I just want to defend Milei when he is accused of defending capitalism only in utilitarian ways, this is just not true, he always says that if capitalism was unfair there would be no point in defending it. A very good talk in which this is pointed out is: "The superiority of capitalism". In this talk he gives a lecture on why capitalism is better than socialism and although it's true that he uses some utilitarian arguments like there are less poor, he uses these arguments stating that if capitalism where only succesful in economic terms but inmoral we should not support it and so he starts explaining the moral superiority of capitalism.

When playing the video it says "Ayn Rand Con, Europe 2024". A quick google search then tells me this event was supposedly held between march 8-10 in Amsterdam, Netherlands so it's likely this is the case. I've met a few Russians and various brands of European, and I've always gotten the impression that Russians are more similar to Americans than are the Euros. Like maybe Russians are more individualist oriented and the euros are more collectivist. Do you think this is correct?
@RonRobertson-lafrance
@RonRobertson-lafrance 5 ай бұрын
Are these Russians in Russia, or Russians who left Russia? Russians that left because they hated communism, for example, would be more individualist (or more likely to be, certainly they can be just as collectivist, but just didn't like the experience of Russian collectivism compared to western semi-collectivism). But Europeans are pretty individualist, more than Russians in Russia. They definitely believe in pursuing their own interests. But, they have mostly accepted some collectivist ideas, but often with the sense that those ideas are better for them as well. So, I seriously doubt Russians are more individualist, except possibly ones that left Russia because they didn't like its politics.

@@RonRobertson-lafrance yeah, the ones met were not in Russia. There's an absolute shitton of Ruskies and Germans in China - so my comparison is mostly between the two. From what I learend in Western Civ. the Age of Reason came before the Enlightenment and the cause thereof, mostly through John Locke My response to Hagel's attack on individualism would be "Then why do you have a name?". I wonder if the pre-eminince of the individual is not metaphysical, since I can put my hands on an individual and the best I can do with a group is get my hands on the member individuals that make up the group, but the relationships that integrate them as a group have no physical existence; and physical existence is the root of all existence and of all knowledge. Even Statistics gets its oomf from the individual events The religionists are growing in strenght is because the overwhelming bulk of secular opposition is Nihilism. I learend in late spring of 1958 that the "post Existentialism Intelligentsia" was "trading Exiistentialism for Nihilism", because "Existientialism was not providing 'answers'". When I looked up Nihilism, I was terrified to think that this was the coming thing brought about by "our best and brightest". As such, religion, being "a primitive form of philosophy" is superior to 99% of what the secualr world is offering since something beats nothing by everything. For example the claim that "God Exists", implies that Existence exists. To see what the Democrats have degenerated to; i.e. total mindlessness, youtube up "Katanje brown jackson define woman". The psychopathic, delusion Trump is speeding up the decline in the GOP at interstellar speed, which will do to the GOP in 20 years what took the Democrates 50. At this time I recommend voting Democrat. Given what Trump is both as a convicted criminal and potential traitor, and the 'crats have reached the botom while the GOP has not. If the GOP is kept out of power, they may clear the crap out before they hit bottom

22:05 "'I hate the west.'", Yaron says of Putin. What in the world gave you that silly idea? What number of years did Russia try to integrate into Europe? What number of attempts were made by Russia to join NATO? What number of years was Russia providing cheap natural resources to Europe such that the Europeans could thrive, i.e. German manufacturing? What did Russia do in order to become more self sufficient causing the sanctions to backfire? You mention that history isn't important, yet you rely on history to support your argument. Russia will win no matter what the collective West feeds to the cannon fodder in Ukraine. Just like in the previous conference, you stuck your foot in it on this particular topic. Pence had the power to do what was discussed. Thomas Jefferson, as President of the Senate, exercised that same power. The discussion with the Secretary of State for Georgia was the correct thing to do. You're aware of the fraud that was perpetuated on the American voter, yes? You're aware that signature matches weren't performed, yes?

Free will is one of the philosophical fundamentals of science. The scientific process step 2: formulate a hypothesis to explain the observations. Without free will there is no way to formulate a hypothesis. You have to choose to direct your mind back and forth between the observations, the currently known laws of physics and possible new entities and causes to include in a new law. You Cannot just sit and wait for a hypothesis to appear.
