Fantastic. Brilliant technical stop go animation, wonderful comedic control, tender naration.. and history all in one. A talent there and no mistake. Keep up the good work. m

then you will appreciate that the depiction of the southern battle lines which included Stoneywood isn't there. The Government Dragoons were stopped by the Jacobites from outflanking and never joined the centre action as depicted.

@@deborahdennison571 I wouldn't expect this wee lad to know all the fine details hence why I'm not upset Stoneywood wasn't mentioned. For him to bring this up and mention it with this skill is by far spectacular and amazing. Needs no further detail until well into his teenage years or adulthood.

@@Oaronuviss So if he does a little scene calling Hitler a hero, you will still praise him for his accurate depiction of history? What ever happened to honouring the truth? - especially for kids. Well done Calum. Your story was well researched and cleverly delivered. However, the clan you described were the Campbells, who fought under the Duke of Cumberland, so you need an extra “p” to make the story correct. There were many more Scots on Cumberland’s side too, mostly from the lowlands. You did a good job on bringing the battle to life. Repeated thanks and “lang may yer lum reek.” Richard

Very cute, Calum, but what happened at Culloden was not cute and I'm afraid you don't have the action of the battle correct or the Night March to Nairn. Nice try. Learn a bit more about the action of the battle and be careful about the authenticity of your sources - sources are everything. Keep up the interest in history!
@danefilmproductions22315 жыл бұрын
the battlefield is under threat from development because there is so much misinformation spread about what happened and where. So please, you people, praise the young man for his effort and creativity, but don't praise him for accuracy, because it isn't - from the Night March to Nairn to the action at the southern flanks, this is way off. It is not 'clearer than the historians' Miss Julie Julie, it is not what happened there. If you praise this talented young man for getting the facts wrong, will he ever make an effort to get them right?
