Just got the rules for Blucher. Your video explain at lot of the mechanics and playability of the game. I understand the rules better, by watching your video, than I have by watching other videos of the game. Thanks!

I very much enjoyed ur battle vid. I have Blucher but haven't played it yet. Currently I use the very similar Grande Armee. I have a ton of Grande Armee scenerios, do you think they can be used with Blucher as is?
@leaddeath13973 жыл бұрын
I have Grande Armee, and with some small tweaking, they 100% can be used.

@@leaddeath1397 Yeah, I think the artillery would be the main problem, i.e. how many arty units vs attached arty to the brigades.

Curious, are you playing with an update I don’t know about? The rule book doesn’t include any Russian units with the skirmish rule, nor does my version have Cossacks with the conscript rule. What am I missing?

House rules. At Borodino the Russians broke down many of their jager rgts entirely in skirmish formations. If the Russians don't have some skirmishers while on the defensive they just get shot to pieces over time, so one brigade in three seemed like a good compromise for us. Cossacks got conscript tag because their are so many brigades at Borodino that even with less elan a smart Russian player can just throw them against any French cavalry and have a decent shot at winning, preserving their other cavalry regiments. We played it several times were cossacks just seemed like regular line cavalry to be used at will as shock cavalry. Giving them conscript status forces the Russian player to use them to screen and extend the lines, but they won't stay if forced by regular cavalry. Seemed like a great compromise as well. Hope those answered your questions

I wish I had a wife or girlfriend to play my games with☹️

Since lock downs started, she has been "forced" into it. That or hear me moan and sigh all day. In all honesty, she has been great. We don't mind spending time together so the 1.5 years inside has not bothered us at all.

@@leaddeath1397 You are the envy of every gamer, that your wife ACTUALLY wants to play. If I ever asked my wife to play an historical wargame, she would look at me, as if I just shaved all of the hair off the top of my head!!
