1:22:25 the reason the guy freaked out is the decision to send the pigeon was calling in heavy artillery on their position, “If im going down, I’m taking you with me” kind of thing. But they’re giant shells being hurled from miles away, by pure luck they didn’t take a direct hit and managed to survive. They basically committed suicide and were saved by luck

Battlefield really had some amazing campaigns, even BF5 had an amazing story with The Last Tiger. Bad Company 1 and 2 had the best campaigns though, carried by the amazing characters we play with. Hopefully the next Battlefield game gives us a good story/war stories.
@QualityPoptarts
@QualityPoptarts 5 ай бұрын
Damn dude you missed an entire plot point in the 'The Last Tiger' mission-- the body they're looking at IS the "young guy", Hartmann. That moment is the start of the disenchantment and finality that the end of the war brought to the tank crew, and highlights that even young men were not immune to the war-- it gives the crew a reason to stop fighting. Seen in many notions and stories from that side of the war during that era. Schroder represented the naivete of oath-bound Nazis at the time, claiming that Hartmann, and eventually Kertz, were traitors, blind to the humanity of another fellow soldier just trying to live. Kertz was what Muller would eventually become-- disilliusioned, but forced to do his duty because he knows he would be killed if he did not, which ironically gets him killed by Schroder. The entire mission encompasses the morality of a soldier and what it takes to be human, even on a vilified, historically evil side of the war. But nah, Hartmann was just another "dead German". Your media literacy is WAY down there. I won't even touch on the "idk why he was freaking out" about the artillery coming on top of their tank????

Greetings, this is a nice video though I believe I can and should add a few additional points. For those curious I am indeed the person who made the Codename Eagle footage as well as a member of the Battlefield 1918 Mod Team. For a start Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 1942 both had single-player bot support and not only that but supported full 64 player bot matches in comparison to the 16 player matches that were officially supported by both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. Also Battlefield 1942 did technically have a campaign mode though it was just playing the regular maps in chronological order. Battlefield 2 was not the only game in the franchise which saw a mod team involved in the development as the team behind the Eve Of Destruction mod helped work on Battlefield Vietnam. Outside of that some of the Battlefield 1918 team went on to made Verdun and its sequels. Additionally the guys who made Desert Combat also went on after Battlefield 2 and made Homefront. For Battlefield 2 the team behind the Project Reality mod would end up developing Squad. The mod teams behind both Eve Of Destruction and FinnWars would also end up making further standalone games as well. It's also worth noting that several of the biggest mods for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 are still being actively developed. Battlefield 1918 just saw the 20th Anniversary patch drop a few months ago, Forgotten Hope Secret Weapon got a few new updates as well as a expansion mod a few months ago, Forgotten Hope 2 is getting a bunch of early World War II stuff in the 2.64 upcoming patch, and Project Reality is getting a World War II Eastern Front Expansion.

I got to be real with you, I DESPISED BF4's campaign and I still do. It wasn't the glitches that did it for me, but the writing. It just felt all over the place. Hannah, Irish, and Pac felt like a bunch of little kids and I never saw them as complex; Korvic was just a douchebag and I almost snickered at how the game wanted me to feel sympathy for his death, and the pacing in the character narrative felt too fast and like hot garbage. At the end of it, all I could say was "THANK GOD THAT'S OVER."

The acting and sound work was exceptional, and hardline made me want an open world cops and robbers fps game for years. Rockay City was probably the closest to what I wanted. Hardline was a fun game, but they really should’ve put it in the need for speed universe instead of battlefield. BF3 was also a fun game with a good coop mode and probably the first game that I can remember having really great graphics. I'm going to be 100% honest here, the only campaigns for Battlefield that I really enjoyed and was memorable were Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2, Battlefield 3, and Battlefield Hardline. And I really wish we would get another Bad Company game especially since Bad Company 2 ended on a cliffhanger.

The pilot in BC2 was such a breath of fresh air! A "hippie" antiwar character is a great contrast to the typical military guy whos there to kill everything in sight. But they werent preachy about it

I played battlefield 2 modern combat tbh the hot swap thing was alright to you figure out it was mostly there for the bad AI and half the bullshit they put you in in the last few missions of the game you could easily end up in a death loop in some of the last missions of the game i can't remember which one it was one for when you played as nato in the later ones you could easily fail because if you don't micro manage your hot swaping well and take out the enemy choppers or force your way to a certain location it would end up being your dumb AI getting killed over and over in a loop while spawning in

The person reviewing Battlefield 1 campaign has neither played the game properly nor read WW1 or any war in general. Literally gave me vibes akin to those who just skip cutscenes and then ask why they're in a different setting with different weapons, what's the objective and why they're there. Sheer ignorance. I don't think BF1's campaign was the best but a lot of elements just passed over this guy's head because of sheer ignorance.

30:29 listening to the dudes lack of enthusiasm for BF3-which is arguably the best depiction of the Marine Corps I’ve ever played in a video game-almost made me turn off the video. I can’t rant enough about how incredibly BF3 campaign was. The scenery and settings alone were amazing. Plus the story is incredible.

BF3 was my first battlefield. I really fucking loved it, and i preferred it over Bad Company 2 when i bought that after. Bf4 was a let down when i played the campaign. The MP also didn't work well since it kept kicking 1 person from my group as someone rejoined. Even if it worked i still like the bf3 mp maps better. Simply has better maps and a better campaign.
