As more snow storms move in its time to make sure that cows have a safe and clear way into the barn during calving. The ranch has recently aquired a BCS Snow Thrower and today we build it, attach it to the BCS tractor and try it out!

Hi Mike, That BCS looks awesome! I always wanted one too. FYI, I have a gineric wind cab on my snowblower that is REALLY REALLY nice! This year I put a 12v caution strobe light on top of the cab so I don't get hit by traffic when I'm blowing out the mail boxes on the county road. I've had some close calls in the past. Happy trails, 🤠

Nice little rig. It looks great for small areas. You might want to consider adding a hydraulic cylinder kit or orbital motor to hydraulically control the spout on the big red snowblower. A lot of people will also mount a snowblower on the skid steer. You can rent one to try out that option in some areas of the country and many people have converted an older mid sized unit for skid steer use.

Be sure to get the model with steering brakes, and the extra large tires are another option I wish I'd sprung for. (We have the BCS 732, and wish we'd gotten a bigger model.) We have the same attachment, it is a beast and the only unscheduled work it has needed in five years is cleaning and shear pins. That said, now that we have a compact tractor with a bucket (and more importantly a seat and a steering wheel), snow removal is even less of a chore.

I got a same implement this year. I found it leaves 1"-2" of snow on the ground after plowing all the time no matter how hard I lifted the handles up to let the implement stay contact with the ground. My tractor is 739. Wonder if I could add some weight on top of the thrower. I just had a foot of snow on my 1000'+ driveway, and it's taking me 9 hour to just remove top half of snow. Luckily a neighbor drove his ATV with blade to push most of the snow for me.

BCS 852 /snow blower, stainless steel spout. 36” snow here in Cheyenne with wind. Going to take the BCS and the solar shovel a while to clear things up. Do you lock the differential for snow blowing? Traction is a bit of an issue with deep snow.
