I love the Beach Boys and was expecting a much better show last night. Some of the people singing their songs really sucked. In their own genera the were probably pretty good. The only one that was close was Pat Benatar. The Jeff Beck brothers were good, Mike Love looked as if he wished he was any other place else.

That's Mike Love and Brian Wilson, they are cousins. Mike taking the main part, and Brian taking the high parts. Mike sings lead on most Beach Boys fast songs, with Brian taking the lead on the slow songs and the high parts of all the songs. With a few notable exceptions like Carl singing on God Only Knows and Good Vibrations. That's the long answer!

Good question - The original song length is 2:39, and this one is 2:49, so ten additional seconds to account for. But I don't hear anything different to indicate that it's a different take. As far as remixed slower, that's a no b/c they're both in the key of B. If it were slower, the it would drop down to B-flat, or something like that. So I'm guessing they just added some more fade at the end of the song, taken from the original master. So I guess it was remixed AND remastered. I suppose it just sounds slower b/c it is more crisp and clear, if that makes sense.🎹🎸🎼

They way I heard it, Brian loves this song. I think he says different things at different times, but I think he is down saying that it's one of his faves. Also interestingly - I think he said he wrote it during his first LSD trip. But I think today he would not recommend LSD. Also this is a fact - It was Bruce Johnston's first appearance on a Beach Boys recording. He's the guy at the end with several echo repeat phrases "Wish they all could be California." 🎼🎹🎵🎶
