I never tire of this song. Although I was a child of the 60's and living in UK I wasn't old enough to "take part" fully in the flower power era but did manage to put flowers in my hair and sing this at the top of my voice much to the annoyance of others. Maybe I saw what they didnt however looking back it was one of the best era's ever and one I really would have been a part of. Happy days and lots of great memories.

I have visited San Francisco 4 times in my Canadian 74 years had an Aunt and Uncle there and cousins ......Aunt and Uncle are both gone now this brings back such great Memories Me , my wife and children Loved it there . One of my uncles move there back in the 80s, he said it was the best time of his .. at the time. He met his first boyfriend there and thought he would be with him forever, this was one my uncles favorite songs. He told me that because it was being played when he first met his boyfriend. My uncle moved away from San Francisco 6 years later, after his boyfriend was murdered during a hate crime assault. My uncle who's now 72 has tears in his eyes when ever he hears this song.

Grow Up! There was a war on....every night the dying was shown on the news and 58,428 young sisters and brothers life ended when they were young. It was horrible time of death and protests. You were too high, too understand. You miss death?

I have grown up and there has been wars since then up to today. Take a look mate and watch the news . I am saying it was a happy time in my life. Sorry that yours isn't a happy time

Concordo con te, mi associo ai tuoi ricordi, è diciamocela tutta, il bel tempo che fu è stato un periodo d'oro, era anche la mia gioventù, noi ci abbiamo provato perché ci credevamo in un mondo migliore poi purtroppo non tutto è andato per il verso giusto e siamo rimasti delusi. I love the footage in this video. I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area starting in 1971. This video brings back so many memories. I now live about 100 miles south of the San Francisco Bay Area, on the coastal area still, and relish the sameness.

Love this song and the video reflected the era. I was age 4 when this song came out and I remember my mother playing this song all the time. Wish I could have experienced it...but it was a time of people wanting peace amongst all the turmoil. We were still in the Vietnam War and I do believe all the protesters across the nation helped to end the bloody conflict. Sometimes I go back to this video for nostalgia and memories of my mother.
