I'm just down the road from this place. Have always loved their fried chicken, green beans and biscuits! I grew up with my mom making red eye gravy when we had country ham. That is a good place to eat if you're ever in the area.

You guys know how much I love your family and the videos this place looked wonderful I'm going with Gentry's meal and Jennifer's sides and the chocolate fudge pie I'm old school if my grandma didn't have coffee for her red eye gravy she would use just a little bit of coke and it was wonderful have a great weekend and a safe and Happy Labor Day ❤😊

Small restaurants are always the best. There is an excellent restaurant in Walnut Cove N.C. all the food is homemade. It's called the milk bar. ❤❤😊

I am from East Tennessee and grew up with red eye gravy which was just country ham grease with a strong cup of coffee in it! It's an acquired taste and I panicked when I saw Gentry with it because it is definitely a heart racer! I also know sausage gravy, what we called milk gravy (butter, flour, cream and tons of black pepper!) And chocolate gravy! Subscribed and love you guys!

Sawmill gravy is also known as milk gravy. Choose your fat I.e. sausage or bacon grease or butter. Add small amount flour, cook about 2 minutes to get rid of the raw flour taste then add milk. Whisk constantly until it thickens. To make sausage gravy, just add cooked breakfast sausage. Pour over hot biscuits 😋
