The Bear 2x10 REACTION; I'm so emotional about this.

I cried so much and then I cried again thinking about I had cried and why I had cried and then I cried more editing this. so that's been fun for me. I adored this episode and this wrap up for the season. there were bumps for sure, like massive bumps, but we got through them and ended up shining on the other side. I love Pete. what a precious soul and Richie really stepped up to the plate. my heart hurts for carmy and for Claire, but I guess, here's to season 3 and seeing where this crazy show takes us!! 🩶

I think Sydney is possibly suffering from Lupus, the disease that her mom died from when she was only 4. There was a scene showing a cabinet full of medicine, she has stomach problems that her Dad is aware of, and we see her back shoulder at one point, and her skin was looking sickly. Her feeling like the disease is approaching gives her that impatience to accomplish things. Just my thoughts on Syd.

I BAWLED like a baby when Pete and Donna had their moment. My wife was right next to me trying to console me. The music, the themes, the acting, the EVERYTHING about this show was 100/10.

Btw now that you finished the bear i recommend you the marvelous Mrs maisel. Its one of my fav shows ever and it's soooo underrated. Literally one of the best writing and cinematography in any series ever. Also the main ship is my fav to ever exist hehe hope you watch it!

Claire's a character that evokes sm discourse in the fandom and I just don't get it. I feel like the writers wrote her in such a shallow way on purpose cause I really don't see her appeal. She doesn't offer much pull personality wise because she soley exists as Carmy's love interest. The audience never really learns enough about her to get invested, so again idk why ppl get so heated about her. She was kinda like this perfect girl who seemed to to have her life together and also had a crush on Carmy?? Literally that's it. She had zero impact on the storyline other than being a distraction? Plus, you could take out all her scenes and the show would be miles better. That's how unimportant she is.

I'm with you! was she a favorite character of mine? not at all- but she seemed sweet and like she actually cared but I would've enjoyed a little more about her because we weren't really let in on any part of her life other than her crush on carmy. I'm with you though- she wasn't that big of a part of it so I'm not quite sure why everyone hates on her so badly. I get the frustration about Carmy's lack of responsibility and letting things slip because he decides to spend time with her where he should be focused, but that isn't on her and is on Carmy, all in all, I'm intrigued to see where season 3 goes! 🩶

Why do you like Claire? Just bc she likes Carmy? Personally, I feel she added no substance, increased Carmy's anxiety, and manipulated Carmy into a relationship when he knew it wasn't a good idea.

Personally I didn't hate her like some of the community did, but I neither liked her to, for me her presence in the show was just to prove a point: Carmy is fucked up, and absolutely not prepared for a relationship right Thinking a little bit more, I think that's why so many people didn't like her, the character is not built like the other ones, she doesn't feel like a real person and the narrative just puts her randomly in the series from a random encounter to prove a point about a character WE care

Oh I really disagree with that. I like Claire bc she has always fully supported him in the restaurant and what he wants to be doing and actually vocalized that she was proud of him which no one else has really. I feel like she vocalized things that he needed to hear like that and is never given. I feel like she gave him so many openings to say that he didn’t want a relationship or wasn’t interested and he didn’t do that. Carmy is a grown up who should be able to manage his time better. I said the entire time that I feel like this is great but he needs to be focused on the restaurant when he’s there and he wasn’t doing that. That wasn’t ever Claire’s fault, that was Carmy’s fault. Carmy caused his own anxiety to increase bc he neglected the restaurant. She also works an extremely intense job and I felt like she would understand if they had those talks and he never brought it up until he was spiraling in this episode. Nothing that has happened in this season was Claire’s fault at all- it was Carmy not being able to say he needed to focus on the restaurant 🩶

I just think he wasn't ready for a relationship, especially with someone from his past. A past that he hasn't come in terms with. Its not claire's fault, she was sweet and supportive. We just weren't given much about her to care about her and her relationship with Carmy. It felt forced. And I feel the point of her character is just to show us how messed up Carmy is. And the mental health issue that his mother has, he probably inherited from her. I hope they delve more into that in season 3.

I totally agree with this! I loved this for him bc I felt like he got some happiness with her- but I also don’t think he needed to be in a relationship at all 🤣 but I think it’s incredibly unfair to say that she manipulated him into a relationship or that it was her fault for any of the things that happened bc it just wasn’t at all 🩶
