I'm another UES fan, I have a few of their flannels. I can't fault them, well made, thick, and warm. The shirt in the video looks really nice, I'm going to to go do some more looking.

Mate that is the perfect size for you. Doesn’t look too long at all. I have a couple of UES shirts and find them good value (at least when buying in Japan. Can’t comment on the pricing elsewhere). Still waiting for it to get cold enough to wear them again. Summer seems to have gone on forever here.

Cameron, I’m a big fan of your channel bro. If you had to choose between the UES Tricotone and the Iron heart indigo Kersey Western, what would you go with, I’m on the fence. Also is size 3 UES similar to a size L in Iron heart? Thanks for the great videos

Oh wow, GREAT question. I would probably say the Kersey Western, which i don't have. But i think the fit would be killer. My tricotine is amazing, but i think it needs to be a size down for me or at least i wish i tried a smaller size as mine is well and truly an overshirt and is quite long in the body. Fabric wise i rank them equal though haha

Hey Cameron, there is a question that has been killing me for awhile. Can you give more details on your Samurai Chino pant? Curious to know what you mean by “modified” did you have your tailored? I have the exact same size, and I am the exact same height, close to weight but mines seem very loose/baggy. Would appreciate some info :)

Hey man, yeah, a few years back I used to take some pairs to a guy that Rivet & Hide recommended, he did hemming and all sorts. Think they were called Atelier or something. I had a pair of IH 666's I bought online and the Samurai's which i had bought in Japan. They both were a little bad fitting (my fault) and he basically tailored them, unstitched and restitched all sorts with a union special. Theres another place in London called Pinas & Needles who do a lot of denim stuff too

@@MM-di7ux haven’t washed yet. It’s somewhat oversized but I can layer over a sweater/hoodie comfortably. As it softens it seems to be fitting a but better as well.

That is a super nice shirt. I'd be tempted if I hadn't had such bad luck with UES sizing. Maybe I have a bit of a tricky shape ... 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do they fit for you? Too long or short or just between sizes?

I have pretty broad shoulders, very square and long arms, so sizing in general can be quite tricky. Usually too short in the arms and tight across the chest. However, to be fair, I tend to buy lightly used clothes, and since some of these UES shirts shrink a bit, that's possibly the issue. But the shrinkage scares me away from buying new.

How does this compare with keeping warm/windproofness relative to an Iron Heart Ultra Heavy Flannel? I'm deciding between the 2.

IH has a brushed interior which helps with warmth and insulation. It’s definitely a warm top but I wouldn’t say it’s windoroof. I would still choose the Tricotine over any IH Flannel.

It looks great, I love it. I didn't know this brand. I'm off to Paris on Wednesday, I want to try on some flannel shirts by Portuguese flannel, they're really nice and more affordable. I've never ordered from Japan or the US, it's really hard to know in advance how much you're going to pay in import taxes so I don't want to take the risk. Can't even order on the UK website of the Real McCoy, it sucks.
