That set against gamerbee was one of the greatest sets by daigo. I would argue adon beats ryu even, and daigo just blew him up with mastery of the character no one else has.

Man that last clip was nuts. Daigo made a big gamble looking for that punish and it actually paid off

Its a cool clip, and it also clearly shows daigos line of thinking too. He realizes that hes running out of time and that he won’t be able to open up the dhalsim with just fireballs. He decides in that moment that the only way the dhalsim will attack is trying to poke ryu moving forward. He dashes forward and heavy dps and tries to focus cancel it. It whiffed. This time he tries it again but instead of dashing for it by walking forward. It worked wonders

Another cool thing about the clip is that daigo also realizes that the option isnt entirely unefficient either since ryu will still keep all his meter unless he manages to counter poke the limb with a focus cancel

I think 4 is better, but I honestly do see the idea that usf 4 is a little too defensive sometimes. its too easy to get away and play the keep away game. USF 4 could have used a guard crush system or maybe smaller stages or slower back dashes. Something to keep it more offensive oriented. SF 5 is too extreme the other way though
