Not mentioned is that on the Help! & Rubber Soul CDs also contains the original 1965 Stereo Mixes which has not been available on CD till now since George Martin remixed both albums in 1987.

You are correct. Help! and Rubber Soul do contain the original 1965 stereo mixes as a bonus following the mono version of the album. The original stereo mix of Help! is also available on the 2014 Japan Box.

The reason this is important is that the mixes from The Original Studio Recordings stereo box set are remastered versions of George Martin's 1987 "remixes" of those 2 albums.

@@MagicalMysteryMike Ticket To Ride is much better in mono because the intro of the song is LOUDER. Both the 1965 and 1987 stereo versions are inferior because of this.

I actually prefer the remixes of these two albums on the 87 CDs. I'm not a huge fan of the super wide stereo mixes of the early Beatles albums. In the case of Help! though, the title songs mono version (different lead vocal) is mixed horribly.

Those early stereo mixes do make for a very strange listening experience, especially when using headphones.

Thank you. IN MONO is a fantastic box set! I was fortunate enough to receive it as a gift from my family in 2009. I got the Original Studio Recordings stereo box set a few years later, as I felt for a while the mono albums were all I needed. Glad to have both these days.

It's not as simple as this. The mono is considered "more authentic." In Mono is a fantastic box set; very well done. For years it was only the mono (plus the missing albums in stereo) for me. I finally embraced the Stereo Box Set, and these days I embrace both for their merits.

I'll let you in on a little secret ... You CAN do it! Time is the key element. I wish I could do more videos, but I can only do so much with the time I can dedicate to making a video as good in quality as I can get with the basic equipment and space I have.

I bought this immediately when it was released in September 2009. The stereo box was secondary as far as I was concerned. I actually never got the stereo box as I just purchased the individual CDs over the next few months. I had been collecting mono Capital albums years before so having this set was exciting. This set and the mono vinyl set from 2014 are prize possessions in my collection! Thanks for posting!

I saw both sets when they were released in 2009. Assumed they were re-mixed, found out they were not and walked off in a sulk. Ten years later I bought the mono set and eleven years later I bought the stereo set. And I’m actually pretty happy to own them - better late than never!

I love this box set and I’m thankful I have this and the mono vinyl box as well. I burned all these cds to my pc and have them on my iPhone because streaming services don’t have it. Once in a while I listen to these when I’m in the mood. Suggestion I thought about this for a while but how about doing a Beatles anthology video containing all the releases. There was a book,singles, dvd,laserdisc,cassettes,cds,vhs.

Not all the mono mixes are better than their stereo counterparts. In the case of "Beatles For Sale" and "Revolver" i much prefer the Stereo Mixes over the mono, and in the case of the White Album it depends on each particular song.

I have come to appreciate both. I used to consider mono my go-to, but I go back and forth and enjoy stereo as much as mono. You're right about Beatles for Sale in stereo ... great stuff!

Hootenhtn, you are spot on. I got screwed because I didn't read the fine print on eBay and ordered it from china. What a frigging mess. I got a hold of the seller and told him I was letting eBay know that he was selling counterfeit boxsets. Next thing I know they told me to keep boxset and had put my money back in my account.

Many consider the vinyl box of 2014 to be the best, but it's digital, the LPs sound worse than CDs and covers are not very well made, without lamination, with a lot of mistakes. In addition, some of the covers were copied from later editions. So those who bought 090909 won.
