BD., Good day, or evening your way. Remember when issued;& my decision was this one or the ep.set.Got the ep.s& my buddy got this one. Great video- ya know remembered that they had great images on them; but had forgotten that some were pretty much a ' picture disc', like the single photo,& some were slightly different with headshots& more. I say it's high time I find a good used set; don't you ? Reckon what wud b a good $D.? Oh yeah- 'Im Down' is Great rocker,& 'Baby , you're a Rich Man' in Fabulous mono !!! Did not know 'Hari G.' wrote that one in Bombay. Love those 3 numbers, as well as the rest. Ciao Dave, M.

Hi Mike, Yes that’s a tough choice with the singles or the EP set, but they are both fabulous in my option. I reckon price wise you could be looking at around $80-100 judging on what they go for here. Definitely really nice disc photos on these and I think you definitely should go for it! Hi Dave. I love this set. Beautiful box and lovely replicas of the sleeves. But for me it's the silk screen printing on the discs themselves that is the final touch , they look gorgeous. I'm trying to work out next week's video ! 55th anniversary ?.....hmmmm 😁. Take care Dave.

@@davidrainey1498 Thanks David! Sometimes having a lot of vinyl you think you have a copy of a particular LP only to find you don’t. That happened when I was going through the James Taylor LPs to show and I realised there was no first pressing Stereo, only a post July one which I had! Still I had the mono which is a lot harder to find. Overload! Stay well!

Hi Paul, Ahh yes all those titles are the mono U.K. single mixes. All the singles up to and including Get back were all mono and on subsequent releases since! Take care!

You know you just don't think on time win you get a box set like this!!! I just love this a lot and your box set dose look splendid. For me in the US it is now harder to play this CD set .Because the newer players don't have the iner tray for small CD. But I still have one . Except that his box and CDs were issued in the US in 1992, under #c2 0777 7 15901 2 2. Still it is in great shape and the covers are practically in mint state. Thank you for the video!! Hi Dave Great set of cd singles. I don't remember this coming out. Was probably too occupied with bringing up the kids to notice and I'd just had a holiday in North Wales at the time of this release. It would probably be very expensive to get these sets nowadays. Anything that has The Beatles attached to it will go for silly money these days. Things have got somewhat out of control price wise generally but because vinyl has taken a president over CDs, they are generally about for reasonable amounts and of course a certain amount of lucky bidding! Hello Dave, I do love these small box sets! However I never bought the CD sets, I used to have the vinyl box set of the singles, and ep collection but sold them. But I did keep the LPS Stereo version of the UK blue box set..always will be the keeper and they have terrific Sound and Fidelity! Love that collection & Box! I' m first! Nice collection Dave. I'm not big fan of CD's,got "Blaupunkt,"CD sh..t player,that "jumps," on meaningfull parts like from "Sgt.Peppers," to "With a little help..,"got blue ray player that plays superb,so to found out that everything works o.k.but who listen CD's over tv? I have many Beatles singles but on vinyl. On CD EP,as singles have real ones that you got on start of CD "time,"1987,and can't be played without adapter."Purple Rain,"Black Batty." Nice "clean," presentetion," nice having you here. Hi Richard, I wonder how different the U.K. sets are to the USA ones. I’m very surprised there is no barcodes on the USA sets as that was introduced here a few years after the USA. The USA juke box coloured vinyl 45’s is scheduled for the 3rd of April and should be a good video with all that coloured vinyl! Stay well and thanks for watching!

From what you said about Something/Come Together I think it was baffling that it was released as a single at all in the UK for the simple reason that it was released five weeks after Abbey Road, especially in 1969 when most people by that point would have bought the album and having to guess that albums were far more affordable by then. If the Dancing In The Street documentary series from 1996 is any guide, then far more albums were bought than singles the previous year, whether it meant the UK or USA, or both, and guessing that 1969 would have been the same. Therefore, only reaching number four is understandable as I am guessing most people would have looked at its release and think I have bought/going to buy Abbey Road. It would have made sense for them to be both released as separate singles within three months of each other with non album b-sides. I can see the point of Yellow Submarine/Eleanor Rigby a few years earlier as there would have been more singles sold at that point than Revolver. Looking at that 31 October 1969 release date in the UK, the very same day Led Zeppelin II was released in the UK, and watching the documentary on Peter Grant and other books on Zeppelin, he insisted on no singles to be released by Zeppelin in the UK, as Atlantic Records UK wanted Whole Lotta Love to be released as a single, and Peter Grant stated no, if they wanted Whole Lotta Love they can buy the album.

Hi David, There wasn’t many occasions when the Beatles took tracks off of albums for singles , one thing they always tried to avoid to give value for money. Singles were definitely out of favour by 1969 and like you said albums were definitely selling much more. Ahh yes that is absolutely true about Led Zep , I remember reading about that. Clearly there was no more tracks to use for a single and those 2 were chosen and failed to hit No 1. Saying that Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane also failed to hit No 1 and in my opinion is their best single! Stay well!

I noticed on the US single,"Baby You're A Rich Man" carries on a few seconds longer than the MMT CD version. Is the UK single the same as the US in that aspect or closer to the CD mix?

Hi George, Yes the U.K. mono mix does go on another couple of seconds more than the CD LP version and I believe it does on this CD single too , but I’ll check the timings and come back to you later!
