another good example would be in "tomorrow never knows" where the first five bars of John singing are in the CMaj scale until one note (Bb) changes the scale at the beginning of the sixth bar (Dm7/C) to C mixolydian ...very effective stuff

it's nice to see someone else noted this use of Bb like me, and you've taken it a step further in your explanations. however, your Title is inaccurate: these are not "Beatles" songs; they are exclusively songs written by Paul. other point: what's unusual in his use of Bb in these songs and makes them stand out is that the Bb is not one of the 3 principle chords in the key of these songs. for that reason, Hey Jude is not a good example, since in the Key of F in which you played it [i believe it was recorded in G], Bb is merely the subdominant. nothing unusual there. but a nice video. good job
