@@derekmyers2927 Completely not true. John wrote this song in response to a reporter telling him their songs weren't about anything deep. He wrote this in response and it was one of the Beatles first songs that meant something as opposed to being for the "meat market" as John put it. This is all John and is about his life. John did say paul helped with the "middle 8". Since John's death, Paul is taking more and more credit for the songs John wrote.

@@fennynough6962 I see it very differently. The Beatles song Allie chose is fantastic and Allie performed it brilliantly with passion and deep emotion. Paul McCartney certainly wouldn't have hired the annoying umbrella guy. But he would certainly have been completely overwhelmed by Allie's enchanting presence. Her uniquely controlled voice ranges from the deepest sadness to rousing joy. She is always able to interpret any genre of music in an effortlessly fantastic way, in this respect you are of course absolutely right.

I couldn't agree more about the dancer, I'm not much of a fan of a single person dancing. Had it been a couple dancing together, which would seem more fitting to the song and lyrics, I might not have minded it... As good as the young man is, it just seemed goofy and out of place to me.
