Hi Stripey, this is fantastic and exciting news. Peter Jackson is a perfect choice to oversee the remastering of all this footage from the ‘Let It Be’ sessions. I can’t wait to see the rooftop concert remastered especially. I have a copy of ‘Let It Be’ on DVD which I got off EBay years ago and even though the quality isn’t the best it still makes fascinating viewing. I believe ‘ Let It Be’ was shown on the BBC a couple of times during the 80s also. Take care Stripey, another great video!

Let It Be was one of my all time favorite movie/docs! I used to rent it on VHS in the 80s! I even had a copy of the tape for years. sucks that it has been buried in copyright laws and such

I was in high school when I first saw the movie. That would have been the mid-70's. Its a very different kind of movie and can certainly be considered an historic document. I'm very much looking forward to see what they come up with. One thing is for sure, the subject matter will make it an event.

Indeed, It'll be nice to have the original remastered too. I like Peter Jackson and from what I have seen, he's quite The Beatles enthusiast. I'm watching his documentary "They Shall Not Grow Old" later tonight! It's all great news anyhow! cheers pal

Hi Stripey, I haven’t commented on your vids before but love them all. The Velvet Underground, Lou Read, Pink Floyd, Kinks, Specials, madness the list goes on. I think we are a similar age. Tops for me though are the Beatles (I’m in the John and George camp) and, like you, anything new from the fab 4 is a must. Really excited by your announcement, I have a poor quality copy of the Let it be film on DVD. As for a title “Let it be- Extended” I’d watch the whole 55 hours as well “we can dream”. Keep up the great work 👍😊

Very nice that the missuses finally said it's okay. When they held out all this time, I was thinking "what's your deal? EVERYONE KNOWS what happened, it's nothing new, we're still fans, it didn't change our opinion of any of them in any way" so, as Paul would've said "Shut up, it's the bloody Beatles". Hi Stripey. It was the best Beatles news in recent years, even better tham the announcement of Pepper and The White Album. How long have we waited for and how much illiegal copies did we buy to get a little bit better quality? Recently I bought a bluray, and this is the best quality till the to be release of the restored original "Let It Be". Now we know, our waiting will be rewarded. For sure, the quality of the restored original movie will be a great, when you think about the Rooftop clips like Get Back and Don't Let Me Down for the bluray 1+. And on top of that we get a new movie of the unused LIB footage. "Let It Be............. Restored" could work for me. It goes back to "Let It Be .... Naked". "Fly On The Wall" could work for me as rhe new movie title. Like the companion disc or vinyl to "Let It Be..... Naked". I really look forward to the release of both movies, however for me, the question rises if there will be an "Abbey Road" 50th anniversary deluxe box set or not. And yesss..... everbody will say that "Abbey Road" will be released this year and the LIB movie and new movie will be released in 2020. But I have a lot of bootlegs and I mean a lot, but not that much from the "Abbey Road" album or sessions. So I do not know if there is that much material for a big box. But for sure I hope so, but I doubt it. Thanks mate, for your video about the new movie and the restored original.

Hey, Pe Ke, I like the fly on the wall title and the let it be restored, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I do hope they celebrate Abbey Road in some fashion this year it would be really nice to have something to celebrate it's 50th anniversary, the guess time will tell. Thanks for watching matey

It's great news isn't it. I've a great copy of Let It Be copied from laser disc back in the day too. While not the greatest copy, it's all we had for decades. So here's hoping for all that new and shiney plus all this new Peter Jacko stuff. Next year will be a Beatle fest, cos hopefully we'll have part two of Mark Lewisohn's amazing biography too. Heaven in 2020

For me the rumors have ben going around cense 78. BUT wow this is it I am so happy about this as a big Beatles fan ok wow. I just wish it was next week lol . I did like your video mate . Stripey , please please watch They Shall Not Grow Old. It is on BBC2 at 9pm Saturday 2nd February and on iPlayer afterwards. It is amazing and harrowing too. Peter Jackson did it as a labour of love

While watching it I realized....this film is painfully short! So a new re-edited film will probably be nothing short of awesome. By the way, do you have a Facebook page?

Hey, Stripey. I guess I am the outsider. I thought Ron Howard's Documentary was disappointing (and I won't waste space explaining why- We all have our views, of course). Also, I fear Jackson putting his twist to this, he has a habit of changing the storylines from the known to his view. I am excited for another Beatles project, but keeping my expectations highly controlled. I doubt he will name it after a song of Paul's (considering the in-fighting over the Anthology once being called "The Long and Winding Road.") I assume it will be "The Beatles at Twickenham" or "The Beginning of the End."
