Very historical. It's amazing to hear Paul have to defend Magical Mystery Tour. The BBC ran it in black and white, when it was actually intended for color. That's just for starters. I think Paul was spot on, about how it will improve with repeated viewings. And in color. Ty, really enjoyed this.

I really dig it..it really got trashed back in the day though.... As a matter of fact in the States NBC removed it off it's playlist

Thanks for the upload! Nice to hear this. I've read the transcript from the interview but I've never heard the audio before. Films were being made like this, it might have been too soon for the world in 1967, but I'm thinking of Head by the Monkees, which was definitely a mixture of Help and Magical Mystery Tour.

The film was broadcast in black and white on British TV when it was made in colour. The Flying Sequence looked much better in the colour it was filmed in.

I've never knew Paul really came down to talk on television about it. I saw the headline of one newspaper on the Beatles Anthology. That says "So we boobed... but the Queen's Speech wasn't a gas either". That must be from the same days. Darn you BBC for destroying reels to make space.

Paul's mind seemed to blossom in 1968. This isn't great. Speaking as a lifelong macca/Beatle fan

Color or black and white the movie was bad. Nonsense
