It was very wise of you to choose the audio album version. The video version is very distracting, though it shows the Beatles themselves. People start discussing what is going on on the screen instead of listening to the song. It was good watching you concentrating on the music and absorbing it. Thanks and God Bless!.
@anironiccoolnessАй бұрын
Idk, it's one of those rare cases that I think the music video appropriately fits the music. Plus, the video has the superior giles martin mix.
@psychedelicpiper999Ай бұрын
@@anironiccoolnessThe video is nice, but The Beatles were all about the music, and no one was really watching their videos back in the day, unless you caught American Bandstand or Top of the Pops.
@musicaficionado2974Ай бұрын
@@anironiccoolness Yes. If you are well familiar with the Beatles music. If you are listening to a song for the first time, I noticed how many reactors get distracted and instead of concentrating on the music and the lyrics start discussing how McCartney jumped up the tree, etc. Otherwise, the video is great.

McCartney songs are masterful, terrific songs. But they are songs. Lennon songs are all the above, but they are a trippy glimpse into the mind of Lennon. The cadence is incredible.

Genius and trippy. Lennon did some great ones. Love the lazy dark mood in all of his songs. (at least SOME of his songs)

When I started listening to the Beatles as a teenager in the 70s, I was always amazed at how versatile they were. Every album sounded different, every album was revolutionary in its time. And the Beatles had the courage to constantly change their style and to be influenced by other musical styles.
@cjmacq-vg8um12 күн бұрын
YAY! you listened to the studio recording rather than the video. that's how you want to hear beatles' songs first. (and most songs for that matter.) the videos weren't readily available back in the 60s and 70s. we fell in love with the beatles' music not their videos. the videos are fine, usually, but watching them takes away from listening to the song. thanks for the video.

first time you heard this song i find that hard to believe because the group has been around since the 1960s they are the greatest band of all time
@DJBilodeauАй бұрын
Nice job with the research and interpretation of the lyrics! It's key to know in this song that Strawberry Field (no letter "s" on the actual place, unlike the title of this song) was a children's orphanage in Liverpool that John, as a boy, would sit and watch the children play. Great review on a magnificent song. PS-a part of Central Park in New York City, not far from the Dakota where John and Yoko lived, has been designated "Strawberry Fields" in honor of John.
@davidrauh8118Ай бұрын
George Martin actually spliced together two different versions by slowing down one and speeding up the other. At the very end John is saying "cranberry sauce".
