John died and was replaced by "Fohn Fennon". This is why he seemed to undergo such a drastic change in appearance. Sadly, Fohn Fennon was later murdered by a guy who foolishly thought he was murdering John Lennon. It's like a double tragedy, because Fohn was actually a great singer and songwriter too--arguably even _better_ than John was! 😢😢

1966 was their last year as the original group. After this it was Sgt Pepper where they didn't really play together all that much. Then they went to India and all the drama from that. Then the white album with Ringo quitting. Then Get Back sessions where George quit. Really is remarkable they at least got it together one more time for Abbey Road

It seems like 1966 was the transition year for the Beatles , and really society. The Musical and culture shift of the 1960s started to come way, the early 1960s culture was fading and a new world was underway. The Woodstock generation and summer of love were all in the making. Drugs, rock n roll, and sex were becoming widespread and you can see it in just about all media at this era.

wtf John's father visited John just because John got famous? That is so fucked up. The Lennons hadn’t seen each other for 17 years. The meeting was obviously not a success, lasting just 20 minutes before John ordered his father out of the office. The Beatles unintentionally snubbed the Philippines' First Lady, Imelda Marcos, on the day of their Manila concerts, leading to chaos and hostility. The Manila Times accused them of the snub, and local staff refused service. At the airport, staff and thugs harassed and assaulted them, forcing them to carry their own equipment. Despite the violence, they eventually boarded their flight. Once airborne, they expressed relief and discussed the ordeal. The incident reinforced their desire to stop touring. Shortly after their departure, President Marcos issued a statement clearing The Beatles of any wrongdoing. The lesson is the importance of clear communication and understanding. Misunderstandings can escalate quickly, as with The Beatles in Manila, highlighting the need for grace and caution. It also shows the unpredictable influence of public opinion and media narratives.

John said a lot more about Jesus and Christianity than just those 6 words: "We're more popular than Jesus now." He basically said - Christianity will become less and less until it vanishes. I think it was wishful thinking. He hated anything to do with worshipping Jesus. And all that talk about him being taken out of context is rubbish. He was attacking Christianity by minimizing and trivializing it. He was a typical God hating atheist. My atheist friend told me about those phony atheists who imply God is real by saying how uncaring He is. Also, those antichristians who deny Christ and yet say how bad He must be. But John Lennon was like the coolest dude - and a helacious songwriter!!
