@@bluepinkman4785 ye back then they didn't have amplifiers loud enough to be heard over the screaming girls and the Beatles were getting frustrated so they decided to just stop as well as the fact that a lot of their later songs were recorded with multiple different tracks and instruments which made it difficult to perform those songs live. Also after John Lennon famously said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus, Americans stopped coming to their shows so audiences were often half full so the band made the decision to stop touring.

I was the first, along with millions of other teenagers, the night of February 23, 1964, watching the Beatles perform five songs on the Ed Sullivan show. I was 15 years old and the still point in the turning world filled with rock and roll music forever. Dad: (looking curious and mildly perplexed) glances from the TV to me, to my mom, to the TV... My mom: 'Yeah, yeah, yeah' - is that what they're singing? What does that mean? Me: It means 'Yeah, yeah, yeah,' Mom. Dad: looks at me, at my mom, at the TV, at my mom, at me .... It sounds nearly identical to the studio recording in which John had once mentioned that it was the last song of the recording set and his voice was was going out on him. I think it just added to the exuberance or vibe of the song. Lennon didn't have a voice like Sinatra or Elvis, but he had a voice that was like no other at the time. That's part of what made him so great. McCartney has a unique voice of his own also but Lennon's leads are BY FAR my favorites.

Electric guitar music and bands like this were soo new. Now it's been decades and we have countless millions of bands of every color shape and size now. We def are desensitized though, that has to play a part in it at least a good deal I'd think.

The last 25-30 years we've been taken over by autotune. Every1 uses it, it can enhance every1 and make even a mediocre singer sound good. Not great, but good. But imo it also makes most music sound alike. I think, every1 has gotten used music having to compensate for autotune singing voices, if a tune is to stand out these days, there has to be something complex about the music. Im 51, so I can say "kids today" - kids today simply didnt grow up with real singing voice. They dont know, what it was like, when the voice had to carry the tune. Most of the music, I prefer, is older than I am. From when it was the voice, that counted, that did the work. Even the good artists these days, even those with actual good singing voices, just do the same performances. And it seems for those growing up in the age of autotune, real singing voices just dont sound right to them. Theyre missing so much.
