Beau Brummels were one of the American bands to counter the British Invasion. They were a quintet -- Ron Elliott, Sal Valentino, Dec Mulligan, Ron Meagher and John Petrsen. They made the Top 40 in 1965 with "Laugh Laugh," "Just a Little" and "You Tell Me Why." The band and Autumn Records were based in San Francisco CA. The Autumn roster also included Bobby Freeman, Mojo Men, Tikis (Harpers Bizarre) and Vejtables. Launched in 1964, the label folded in early 1966.
