For the naysayers saying he doesn't have it anymore, I would like to draw your attention to something. Many artists change vocally, artistically, etc. as they age. If you are wanting to see the Marilyn Manson of the 90s, particularly circa Antichrist Superstar, go somewhere like here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5mkqaeseLl1p7s I am quite confident in saying, not only from watching this video, but seeing Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie in St. Louis on July 14 of this year, he still has tons of stage energy and puts on a killer performance. I very much enjoyed it, his new stuff from Heaven Upside Down, older stuff like the classic "The Beautiful People" and even before that, and everything in between. Most artists will not sound the same as they age. For a good example, look up a recent performance by Elton John and then watch a performance from the 1970s. Many, many people would agree he is still brilliant, but his voice has continued to change as he aged and he doesn't have the same vocal range, but that does not mean he cannot perform. Now, after giving that example, let's come back to Manson. Do you know anyone who is almost 50 years old that can still rock like that? Sure there are some, but they are rare. Also, the type of music he sings is very straining on your vocal cords. Finally, He has been singing "The Beautiful People" for over 20 years now. You cannot keep the up the same level of enthusiasm, passion, aggression, and energy with a song you have been singing that long that you know you have to sing at every concert because it is THE song that makes people go the most crazy. The man does quite well considering how long he's been singing it and his age, plus having Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, which affects his heart rate and thus also makes him more easily become short of breath...especially with a song like "The Beautiful People." If you want to hear and/or see 1990s Marilyn Manson, listen to the early albums, click the link above, or look up countless other videos uploaded on KZbin which were recorded from that time period. It is silly to go to a Marilyn Manson concert expecting him to be exactly the same as he was when he was still in his 20s.

@masseffectmafia6 жыл бұрын
Ankh-ef-en-Khonsu You should get out of the house more. He played Hollywood in January and kicked our faces in. You aren't going to feel the energy of a live show watching it on KZbin. Like I implied before, get out and live life. Experience these shows in real life and you would appreciate it a lot more. And furthermore Manson doesn't have anything to prove to anyone. He can perform HIS way and lames can fuck off.

@Abrahamhamham6 жыл бұрын
Oh, Michael Russell... You're just generalizing. Of course live shows are better DUH. You can see the difference between his older and newer performances even if you watch youtube videos. He's just going through the motions now. Stop kidding yourself. I've never understood this: someone talks about a musician, in this case, and others attack them on such a personal level, like that musician is their mother or something. This spoke-person role some fans take sometimes is so lame and stupid... You didn't actually say anything useful. You just gave a pretty generic answer a teenage fan would and insulted someone on behalf of a person that doesn't even know you exist. Do you actually see how stupid this is? Oh, my god...
@masseffectmafia6 жыл бұрын
Abraham oh Abraham how witty and all knowing you are. Let me get this straight: you criticize me for voicing my opinion and attacking someone on a personal level (when all I said is he needs to get out more) and then you turn around and do the exact same thing.....................Yeah that was a well thought out retort. Lol. Talk about saying nothing useful. Nailed it. And you're opinion of him "going through the motions" tells me your dead ass hasn't gotten off the couch either to see him play. Lame af. Way to go, Yoda.
