So happy you have reacted to the beautiful south. They have so many classics.

The Housemartins "Build" single would be a great song to review as it would introduce you to Dave who also sings in the beautiful south. Excellent work as ever Nick.

Dave also joined them on drums when the previous drummer Hugh had some “ legal” problem’s, when he lost his freedom.

Try 'Song For Whoever'. You'll find Gary Barnacle all over the place between 1977 and 2000

I was listening to Song For Whoever just yesterday! Their first hit.

Brilliant, you definitely have the widest selection of reactions on You Tube, don`t know how you choose them but keep it up.

I'm also glad you finally got around to The Beautiful South, one of my favourite bands. I don't know how to describe Brianna's incredible voice either but I love it. She was later replaced with Jacqui Abbot, another incredible singer who is still producing incredible tracks and albums in partnership with Paul Heaton. "Heatongrad" by the pair of them is one of my top albums of the past 10 years. Too many great songs from the Beautiful South making it hard to decide what to recommend to you. "A Little Time", "I'll Sail This Ship Alone", "Good as Gold (Stupid as Mud)", "We'll Deal With You Later" and "Don't Marry Her" is as short a list as I can manage Nick, sorry!

The Beautiful South were a great band… always ironic in their delivery. This one reminds me in a way of how non-brits stating that 🇬🇧 are suppressed and won’t talk about stuff… with Paul answering for the brits WHY we won’t, ha ha. Always poking fun at both sides. Should try ‘A little time’ , ‘Ol’ red eyes’ , ‘Sail this Ship’ … to name but a few’!

A song for whoever and caravan of love are really good songs by these aswell
@jonathancole83310 ай бұрын
Although to be fair, Caravan Of Love was a Housemartins' cover of (I think) an Isley Brothers track.

Always thought the Beautiful South were a bit hit and miss compared to the Housemartins, really liked the track 'Blackbird on a Wire'
