A farm can start at 12 x12 can be expanded to 24 x 24. It looks like the fixed the workers per field, since in 9.4 it was like 30 workers for a 12 x12

I remember it being lots of workers but haven't played since 0.9.2

I think they did amend the farmers yes. Its more sensible numbers now at least.
