The Beauty Of Being A Deckhand

Here i am,
A deckhand on a super yacht.
A Job i always said i would never ever do.
Why would I put myself at the bottom of the food chain?
Scrub decks, polish, already did 3 years in the Navy why should I do it again to myself?
Well, a temp opportunity came and I said yes and I'm surprised of how much I'm loving it.
I've been a captain and in charge for so long that I forgot how enjoying a simple task like scrubbing the deck can be, the beautiful stressless life of a deckhand worker.
I often look back at my first jobs and remember a certain tranquility while working, even as a waiter I just logged in to work and whooosh time has passed and I was satisfied, working in the office didn't feel like that.
Now I'm not suggesting to quit your job and go back to being a waiter but if an opprutinue presents itself for a temp job doing whatever it is you've never done before, something stressless that has a well described task like picking vegetables or whatever, give it a go, worst case you'd love it 😍
