I read this book when it came out 20yrs ago. Was very captivating how one event could be so devastating to such a small town and the impact it had on the community. Was amazing how much Hal Bumgarner endured, somehow surviving with all those wounds, and neat when I started recognizing his name in all the documentaries he did after this book.
