The bee tower imitates the natural habitat of the bees which have lived in trees for millions of years.
The beekeeper Abbé Warré tried out more than 300 different hive systems.
Inspired by the natural bee habitat in trees, he created his "ruche popular" as so-called later Warré hive.
Research by the scientist Prof. Thomas D. Seeley revealed that honeycombs in trees have mostly a cross section of about 20 cm and a nest volume of 32 to a maximum of 40 liters.
Our the bee tower was developed by our team from in Warré dimensions with round flight holes and a round interior made of wooden rings.
Equipped with a thick layer of reed or now also of solid wood, the bee towers
is an low cost ecological habitat in the age of climate change.
A small honey harvest from above is possible.
Compared to tree trunk hives, all our different bee towers can be manufactured without special tools and can be transported to the apiary.and assembled on site without major effort.
