That was dashed impressive. I had no idea that so many planes could fly at a time without mixing signals, I didn't know model planes could fly for so long, and I didn't know folks were flying in collision/combat. Wow several ways. It did look like fun, and the people were enjoying. Which makes a great vid. Excellent airplane, too. Thanks for posting.

Should try to make the ultimate beeper that is almost impossible to be broken or disabled! Then the others can take their best shot! Full camera panorama views to watch the attacks! Then as the finale, two planes with the best pilots are armed with paintball guns to down the Beasty beeper!

That was such a fun idea. Also it worked way better than my plane dropping plane. I think an esc smoked when I was getting it ready to launch, and the top one didn’t have enough power to carry it all.

I've never seen any building material get restricted, they do strongly mandate only electric power systems at the event, but past that it seems a lot is open territory for building.

Lots of people use carbon fiber pipe or square pipes for spars, so equivalently I'm sure you could! We used an aluminum L brace bracket in our wing for spar since weight wasn't an extreme concern with lift and power ratios being high. Based on cell readings we could have flown 18 minutes optimally or more flying conservatively.

It's much harder to get into a collision than you would expect, so your completely right- especially when flying from pilot's eye view on the ground. Depth perception can be absurdly tricky at times.
