I’m getting Tales from the Crypt, The Vault of Horror and The Haunt of Fear (EC comics) vibes the more I look at the promo reel of the film. It’s like if Tim Burton is actually directing in that style, but I don’t know since he doesn’t like reading comics, I’m not sure if he grew up with looking at the images of the comics and how they were hit rough by the time they were released? Knowing how much of a Siouxsie Sioux (and S&TB) Fan Tim Burton is, it would be so great, if he asked Sioux to pen an original tune for the movie. Wouldn't be surprised, if 40-something Lydia has The Ice Queen on her playlist, since she was her (and Winona Ryder's) fashion/aesthetic inspiration in the original 1988 film.
