Well, the nature of that characters sire is is in question from what happened in AO. That character was neither pro-camarilla if pro-sabbat. He was online as a Lasombra Antitribu and his offline version from LARP where he was an NPC was an Venture Antitribu (or maybe vice versa). Since he treated opposition like slurpies... And pulled favors to learn disciplines he was problematic. Especially since he's make it looks like he was supporting a side and in the background do the exact opposite. He became so OP even as an NPC had to be removed from play. Sadly, he was never a good guy. Great video!

Are you planning on doing a video covering the, for want of a better word, metaplot changes as a whole between revised edition and 5e? I'm kinda curious how they square the fact that at the end of the nineties/the early aughts the end times were looming large, and then 20th anniversary came out and was silent on the metaplot, and then came 5e where it is twenty years later and all that time of judgement stuff just didn't happen.

"The newer version pulls from a void of darkness" ... so did the older version. In fact, the Abyss is specifically mentioned. I don't know if you merely read the first Clan book, but the Revised Edition Clan book makes this pretty clear.

Yeah this was one of the biggest kicks of V5 for me. The choices for disciplines was…weird. Plus it was strange the Lasombra would offer elders as a sacrifice to the Cam. Obtenibration was such a cool discipline and was distinct enough from necromancy that they should not have been combined. That and making Quietis a blood sorcery.

@@03dashk64 If they made Quietus a blood sorcery, what did they do with the three kinds of Assamite thing? Did they just fold them back into each other? Because if Quietus is a blood sorcery, there is no reason for Assamite Sorcerers to be mechanically different from warriors.

@@chriswolfe351 same as with abyssal sorcery I think. They just kind of made it a ritual that kindred with that version of blood sorcery could use. I think they were trying to make it simpler by combining disciplines, but it’s more complicated. Now the disciplines are split into various paths and across multiple books. Also the books are a nightmare to reference, rules wise. They look fantastic but are terrible to actually use

@@03dashk64 Yeah, I've heard that the organization of 5e books is atrocious. Specifically I've heard that one of the core playable clans is detailed in a setting book, which seems basically unforgiveable to me.
