Lots of reina players are newbie in tekken 8 and at beginning of tekken 8 they won more because of her cheapness and people don't know the matchup yet. Most of these players don't have fundamentals and they start to lose more because people know more about how to play against her.

So informative... though it would be amazing if the visual information matches the audio :) if you say certain moves can be punished or launch punished, it would be amazing if u show it in the video... it would make it so much easier to process that information (especially as a visual learned :D )

The biggest thing from a reina main myself. She has basically no spam strings, so she is forced to dive in. Use quick long range mid pokes, like brians f4, jins f4 or df1, and force her to approach on your terms. Also if you play a grappler, any time she moves forward you can unbreakable grab her due to her f* parry.

Reina : has a df1 and a df2 , what else does she not have? I mean uhhh like 90% character in the cast, including devil jin and Jin that have generic 15 frame launcher as well (and they launch crounched, unlike Reina).

Adding up to what was covered in the video, Reina can also go into crouch dash during Unsoku and Heaven's Wrath. If you keep stepping/SWing right when she goes into Heaven's Wrath, a good Reina will start wavedash mixing you up. Be especially aware against HW into hell sweep.

4:48 when in heavens wrath reina can transition in to crouch dash then block. if reina transitioned by you blocking a move like sen 1+2 then she can be guaranteed punished with a 14 frame punish i started cancelling at ganryu(red ranks) but if you dont see her cancelling, launch her

Yes but if you block Sen 1+2 and she transitions into HW she also has her armor move HW 1+2 which you can't punish with a 14 frame, but can 10 frame punish it before she does HW 1+2 or just grab her out of it before the 1+2. I usually just grab before the 1+2 since it's an armor move so she can't break the grab

@@XxUnraveledGamerxX your right ill start doing a 10 frame punish rather than 14 on this interaction. when you get to the people that start breaking grab consistently, breaking after a cancel block is easy as a cancel block would happen if i thought you were gonna press in to me so id be ready to break. and i myself dont like power crushes on the chance they hold back

The way to hide a 2 throw input with Reina is to buffer it the same way King can buffer GS so don't rely on the visible QCB input as a tell above red ranks

yes its a low! I should mention in the video its her low heatsmash, I know I mention it somewhere else in the video that 2+3 is one of her only low choices in WRA, but it mightve not been until later on in the video I mention it!
