The Beginnings of Shiatsu -指圧の誕生- History of Namikoshi Shiatsu

This video is based on the book "Shiatsu Ichidaiki," which describes Tokujiro Namikosh Sensei's life journey.
The Canadian Shiatsu Society of BC would like to share this video with all manual therapists.
Applying pressure may seem to be a very simple technique, but in fact, it is a complex technique.
We made this video in Japanese and English, to spread Tokujiro Sensei's passion for Shiatsu and compassion toward others, with the rest of the world.
The video uses over 700 illustrations that were hand-drawn by the artist, Satoshi Akaike, who is also a Shiatsu Therapist and graduated from Japan Shiatsu Collage. All the hands in the video have individual characteristics. The message is that men and women of all ages who work hard with a mother's heart, can become a great Shiatsu therapist.
