It's cool that you show some Belgian military stuff, the Belgian army is sometimes a bit forgotten and btw I'm Belgian and you've got a pretty good french accent, continues comme ça.

Great video, could we please get a video detailing the Badges/crests for the Adrian helmets throughout WW1 and WW2, somewhat explaining what each symbol means and what they relate to, It would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your video. Have you looked at the later version that was factory coated (grey) and chambered in 30.06?

Today after 1 year i looked at the video again. Thanks for these information! I am a huge bayonet collector myself. This is the only video on youtube showing a belgian m1916 bayonet. Gives me a idea to make a video my own now 😅❤❤❤

My 89/36 doesnt have any Belgian markings on the stock, nor does it have the new applied serial number, what it does have on the stock is the German LK3 marking. I wonder if the rifle was captured during production or something similar
@worldwarguy4593 жыл бұрын
Without the markings on the stock, it means it was either sanded down at one point or captured before the arsenal had the chance to put the final marking on it. I don’t know why it doesn’t have the new serial number, that’s seems odd to me. Is it just a 4 digit number? But with a German marking, it was most likely captured at some point

@@worldwarguy459 Yea I believe that it was captured during, and not sanded since it has the German marking which looks crisp

Do you know if the Belgian army during WW2 was in Norway, Narvik to be exact? I have a bayonet that my grandfather got during the war, i know he was in Narvik and in that area.

Just stumbled on your video. Its a pity that either you didn't do enough research or you only found the wrong info. Most of your video is nonsens . For example a M89/36 rifle is a converted rifle , not a newly produced rifle. Your contract numbers are simply serial numbers . I can go on for quit a while , but leave it here. Anyway , you have to live with the idea that some people going to live their lives with the wrong info.😀😀😀

If you have other sources I could search please let me know, as there is not a lot of information out there on this rifle. As for the incorrect info, the use of contract numbers was used by FN, to avoid confusion for anyone I continued to use this term as both MAE and FN worked on these rifles. And for your comment about calling it a newly produced rifle vs converted rifle, I do call it a converted rifle as well. I may have called it a new rifle because it still is to some degree. It had many new parts as well as converted parts. I do not think anyone will be confused if I called it a new rifle on accident as I explained multiple times that it is a converted rifle.
