Yes, it is a rewarding experience to shoot real movie film vs videos. I fell in love with 8 and Super followed quickly by the addition of sound stripe and a Eumig sound projector. So, I want to say I enjoy your enthusiasm and your video. Digital has many advantages that cannot be ignored and I use it because of its flexibility along with computers and their editing software. But every one who likes film making should invest some time and money into Super 8 and 16 film equipment if possible. Thank you.

Thanks for your comment Roland. I shoot video on my Lumix because it's easy and the quality is staggering - but I will never forget the excitement of getting back my first roll of movie film shot 'stop motion animation' . Film is special. I'm about to embark on restoring a sound 16mm projector, so keep your eyes peeled for videos on that too 🙂

Hi, as my film stock is 100iso I've been waiting for a fine day to get out and shoot. My stills cameras have all been fed on a diet of 400iso lford as it's been so dim since Christmas! So I was a bit of a coward. If we have a bit of sun I may well get out there this week and have a go 🙂

I shot some footage with my 70HR model in august hopefully within a month I’ll send it off to FPP to develop it.

Super 8mm film stocks are about 2/3 rds the cost of 16mm.

Indeed, but 16mm is twice the image area.
