They're very nice, much better than the original/older models, in my opinion. Oh and nice review by the way. :)

Wow I what a great transition for the SNK series. When I heard Seiko discontinued the old SNK line I thought they were crazy but now I see they were reviving that in a different newer movement. Will definitely look forward to the next time I see this watch on sale.

Great review. I have this watch, too.The strap does break in really well after a while, so don't worry about its initial stiffness. Huge strap improvement over the SNK series, which had scratchy, uncomfortable, cheap-looking straps that you wanted to change quite quickly. This one is a beautiful colour, is comfortable, and has a satisfying thickness that matches the watch. The fabric surface is comparable to Cordura, looks more premium. So hooray for Seiko, finally paying more attention to straps. I disagree about the domed crystal. A flat crystal would have made it look more cheap. And unless you are trying to look at the time almost horizontally, you can see through it fine.

I agree with your statement about the domed hardlex - the dome also reflects all the light and reduces the visibility of the dial even further...

Thank you for your nice review. I'm in the US they’re selling under 180 USD now for Black Friday . Can we get the Day in English on the calendar? Can we hand wind for the reserve of 40 hours because I don't wear watches all the time ?
@letstalkwatches2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching the video. The calendar is in English as well. You can hand wind the watch to achieve a full power reserve and it will run for up to 40 hours. Cheers

@@letstalkwatches how is the winding done ? Is it by twisting the crown fully 20 to 50 times ? Thank you for your prompt reply .
@letstalkwatches2 жыл бұрын
@@Rapture77 when the crown is in the original position, turn it clockwise to wind the mainspring. I usually spin the crown around 40 times, but the stiffness in the spin will also indicate that your mainspring is fully wound. Cheers.

@@letstalkwatches Thanks again . I'm thinking of this Seiko and a Hamilton quartz 38mm Khaki Field blue dial which is slimmer. Is The Hamilton better quality ?

I've got one from Amazon US and it's working fine. What's more it's Made in Japan with Seiko warranty. Thank you for that review again.

Nice but I still prefer the SNK809. I like having the recessed crown at 4 O'clock as it's less obtrusive and hacking and hand winding for an everyday beater are not really required. A few of the smaller details of the new model are nice like the colored lume and the hands having slightly more reach but the mostly white hands on the old model suit the design better (just nice if they were a smidge longer)

Seiko creates a german flieger watch. Did Seiko create that watch with a black dial too? If the answer is yes, why isn't it available in germany? Greetings from germany.

Thank you, I sold my SRPG but waiting on the next Amazon sale to buy one for under a $100. Will definitely compare the two then. Cheers!

@@Dr.Irshad2769 both ways are possible. If the watch stops ticking, Seiko recommends to wind it manually.
