I left early childhood education 5 years ago to pursue computer science. This channel found me and I want to be like this woman! She is wonderful! I wonder why my ECD/ECE courses never introduced Waldorf even though it’s like ALL the things. Corporate run daycare centers broke my heart into pieces. This puts it all back together! 💗🌷☀️🐝🦋🌱🌞

A relative asked me recently, if I could have a superpower what would I want it to be? I replied without hesitation "a storyteller". At first they seemed surprised by my answer but then they "got it" I think. So powerful and such a gift to others of all ages. I read to my children every night before bedtime and it was just so special to share that bond with them.

This is incredibly helpful to me. I have worked in a "waldorf inspired" preschool and some of the staff only have traditional early learning training. Your channel is a wonderful resource to help some of these staff understand waldorf better. Thank you!

Hi, I love the Waldorf philosophy. I am a volunteer at a non-profit rehab. I lead the group through yoga -meditation , which has ben instrumental in turning my life around. I sometimes read inspiring things to them. I love children's books, as they make my inner child happy. Can you suggest a short story that is a favorite and appropriate? Thanks for your valuable work.

Do you have any recommendations for oral storytelling for children before the age of three? Still align with these Waldorf values. Thank you!

This is my third video from Acorn Hill that I’ve enjoyed today. However, when this particular video about oral story telling began there was no sound. Checked my ipad volume. Looked at the other comments to see if they had noted a similar experience. Nothing. Then I wondered if the recording was done on purpose - to bring attention to the fact that we ache to HEAR and LISTEN and UNDERSTAND. Then I realized that I had stuck my earbud in my cleavage/bra earlier in the morning so not to lose it and that was why there was no sound coming from my ipad :). Sorry - extremely trivial :)

How do you deal with interruptions while storytelling?

I have an 11 year old that I am trying to instill the love of reading. Her older sister is an avid reader. My husband and I both love books. I did let her pick out a book that she loved, but it turned out to be a boy who was sassy and she became sassy, so I stopped buying them. She reads books for school, but it's not because she wants to read it, it's for the grade. Any suggestions?
