Full disclosure, I was born in Germany and lived in Cologn so I'm familiar with all the Rhine has to offer. Your post brought back many wonderful memories and reminded me of home. Wunderschoen! I have to tell you how melancholy and joyous this episode made me feel. I lived in Weisbaden in the early 80s. Rudesheim, and this part of the Rhein, the Rheingau region, was our playground. We sat for hours along the river at the various winestuben, tasting the local wines and waving to the slow barges making their way north. Oftentimes, in the evenings, the barges would flicker their lights and the bartender would do the same. It was charming. I noticed you passed the Biebricher schloss in the beginning of the video. This was another place we frequented. The grounds are a lovely park, and we spent many days there - exploring small ruins, playing frisbee, drinking wine, listening to concerts, and picnicking. The villages along the way had festivals when their orchard and vineyard plants came into bloom. So, Springtime was spent in small village squares, eating wurst and dancing to local music (just like yours). Autumn was more of the same. All in all, I just spent the past half hour simultaneously laughing and weeping. Thank you so very much. You really did capture the feeling of this magical place on earth.

Another fine video, finalized with a beautiful "duet"! A few famous landmarks, looked up in Wikipedia: 4:43 Schloss Biebrich (18th century) in Wiesbaden (corrected) 6:53 Pfalzgrafenstein Castle ("die Pfalz") on an island near Kaub, built and modified 1327 - 1714 as a toll fortress. 17:36 The Niederwald Monument with Germania at the top, holding the emperor's crown. It originates from 1871, celebrating Germany's unification in the (new) German empire. 17:48 (also 10:04) The Mäuseturm (mouse tower, 14th century) of Bingen, a former toll station and signal station above the narrow and dangerous "Binger Loch" part of the river (now less perilous, 19:51). 17:59 Ehrenfels Castle, a ruin from the 12th century. Gute Fahrt!

Your storytelling, calm voice, your music, the background musical selections, photos, videography - all top notch! I do love it all but what really brings me in - is your storytelling! I laughed out so loud when you were oohing and aahing on the cablecar just coming out of the station and Aladino said 'But we've just gotten on it'. Ohhh guys all those beautiful places you take us to are so fascinating. When I was about your age (20-21) my dad took me to Europe for a 45 days vacation trip and we navigated the Rhine on a ferry going through all that beautiful scenery but we didn’t stop at any point to visit a castle or vineyard as you. That brings beautiful memories of my Dad and makes me realize what a lucky kid I was having a lovely Daddy like him. On the other side Aladdin’s grandma story was very short but fascinating and now makes sense why I always I feel Aladdino as a Paisa. That means as a fellow Mexican compatriot 😂 it would be lovely and so nice if you can tell us more about your grandparents life in Mexico and the school they left there and also your passing from Baja California Mexico and your days with your mentor Miguel. Also don’t forget to go back to Baja with Maya and magic carpet, I am sure you guys would be able to create a wonderful new video series for your wonderful KZbin channel.

I was on that very same cable car a year ago. Bought a stein in this beautiful little town. It was fun to see it again. A trip back in time.
