I totally agree with your opinion of this book, I feel like they could of gone a different way that was more age appropriate. But I also think most kids of 8 years or younger probably don't even understand the situation lol. Also parents should be the ones to educate their kids about these type of topics cause unfortunately these situations do happen.

Yes, I totally agree. It's an important topic, but in this book it just wasn't handled really well. I wish it had been handled well enough to be a discussion starter for parents but it doesn't even come close to delivering on that front either unfortunately. :/

When I was 30 I decided to recollect them all I haven't read them in a Long long time I am so glad I am not the only one. Kids at least in my neck of the woods are targeted early. So even 3rd grades should be told something about it.

Some of them I've really enjoyed re-reading, like the Galloping Ghost! But this one I feel like wasn't constructed well enough to talk about the issues that it brings up. We definitely need to have conversations with kids about safety and being aware of their surroundings, but this book doesn't address that part of it at all.

I just remember reading the Berenstain Bears picture books as a kid, I don't think I ever read the "Big Chapter Books." I had no idea they had a Berenstain Bears book like that! I agree, it seems like they could have used a different example in the book. The kids reading the book are going to be like 7 or 8 years old, and it just doesn't seem like something appropriate for that age.

Yep, I totally agree. This one is definitely a miss. A lot of the other ones are great though! I really like the Galloping Ghost one a lot!

Wtf 😂 I vaguely remember reading a couple of these as a kid (one of them was a halloween one, of course lol) but I haven't sought them out as an adult.

Yeaaaaahhhhh this one was... something else all right lol! The ghost story ones so far have been the best on re-read.
