This is actually one of my daily carries. I trust it , using Fiocci ammo, I’ve never had an issue. The size of the gun lets me carry almost anywhere. Keep in mind it’s a close up, all or nothing gun and shot placement is key. Fun fact; I was able to walk through a metal detector at a casino without setting it off (either the machine had a higher threshold setting or it was malfunctioning) either way I didn’t set it off and walked right through. The gun is great for peace of mind in places where a compact is not permissible.

A friend of mine was on his HARLEY back in the early 80s when he got stopped by a messed up traffic light.. this was somewhere off of Peachtree Street in Atlanta about 2am. A guy came out of the shadows with a knife wanting to be the new owner of the Harley. My friend pulled a Baby Browning .25acp and fired on shot just as the guy planted his "very nice" Italian stiletto into my friends left thigh. The thug ran off making an odd yelping sound like a Hyena makes and disappeared into the dark. Leaving the blade stuck firmly into my friends thigh. When rescue services arrived, all we found was about a six inch long strip of flesh with hair on both ends ? Kind of puzzled Us at first because my friend thought he has shot the guy in the chest. What happened was, the gun got pushed further up as the guy stabbed him . The bullet hit the Perp in the eyebrow and skidded off of his skull . It exited out his scalp and removed the strip of skin in the process. My friend had the knife removed in surgery because it apparently stuck in the bone. He still has that knife. The Perp was never found but he should be pretty easy to spot. Had the bullet struck a half inch lower it would have been in the perps brain. Instead, if ricochetted off the fools head. Moral of story? Shot placement is everything !

My dad got pulled over and falsely charged with DUI in the early 2000s (our local sheriffs dept. didn't have breathalyzers back then.) They impounded his car and took his gun. He got the case thrown out but never got his gun back, they just wouldn't let him get it back at the time.(come to find out through some friends our small town sheriff took a shining to it for awhile.) 15 years later he gets a paper in the mail for him saying a police department over a thousand miles away has something in evidence he needed to come pick up within 3 days or it would be auctioned off. He had no idea what it could be and ended up getting this little gem back. I cant say its my favorite gun, cant say its my best gun. But its a gun i can comfortably and easily carry. Its reliable never malfunctions and ammo is everywhere. Only thing I can honestly say bad about it is the finish is a bit rusted up from being used by the sheriff then not being cleaned and left to sit in an evidence locker neglected for 10+ years. That and its a small gun that loves to bite the web of your thumb sometimes if you're like me and have big hands. Its now my go to handgun to carry when I go hunting. I cant tell you how many squirrels and rabbits I've got with it over the last few years while I was hunting larger animals with a rifle that would absolutely destroy those little critters.

Saw one of these in a pawn shop several months ago, and i seriously thought of buying it (we EDC the .25, and thought it would make for much more affordable practice, the ammo 3 times cheaper)...so now the gun on wishlist, but a good ways down (we're seniors, we do get some range time with the .25, we just want more, lol)...

It may very well be the CCI ammo but it also could have an old/weak hammer spring. These guns rely on a heavy hammer spring to function reliably. The 25 Cal versions are the most reliable. In fact I've never seen a 25 cal vesion in good shape ever malfunction.
@JohnPublic-dk7zd4 ай бұрын
Our .25 malfunctioned on the range, it simply got filthy inside (we had normally just field striped to clean, but now will pay more atention to detail)...
@frankbrowning3284 ай бұрын
@@JohnPublic-dk7zd Yes, once a pistol gets filthy they can malfunction and this design is a block back which generates even more gunk than a locked breach design. When they are clean the 25 cal,950's tend to be very reliable.

I am always cautious about alloy frames but obviously there's alloy and alloy and we tend to associate with the fragile Zinc Alloy used in cheap firearms however I suspect that Beretta probably use high quality alloy.

Good for a "coup de gras" on a wounded animal, saving the cost of a more expensive and louder rifle round. The first S&W's were 22 short, so it can be effective if used well. The main problem right now is finding ammo and the cost when you do find it, and it's not alone in that regard. Shooting any accurate gun improves your shooting skills so go have some fun!

Great video, very informative. Ive had mine for almost 2 decades and honestly haven't really shot it all that much. My issue is that the safety likes to engage while shooting, kind of annoying. By chance would you have a fix for this problem? Side note ive never taken this firearm apart.
