I prefer Cross Creek. It's only $450/year to join, and you can get a tee time, plus they have ponds, trees, snakes, aquatic birds, and dogs running around on the course. There's no par 4's or 5's, just par 3's, so it doesn't take forever to play 18. Moreover, there are usually some drunks laying around the creek and a few women wandering around walking their dogs and looking for a husband. When you finish your round, there's a bar and, if you feel lucky, there's a sandwich shop. Finally, there's a pool where kids & their dogs come to swim. Hey, it's only $450/year and you don't have to shower before you play.

I used to work at White Columns until a couple years ago so I'm biased, but I think it's the better course (although I've never played National). I believe clubcorp considers The Manor as the best of the 4, and Polo as the 4th. Also worth mentioning is if you join one of these courses there are several other courses you have access to nearby such as Country Club of the South, Windemere, Olde Atlanta. You would get to play those courses maybe once or twice a month for maybe $25 (although windemere and olde atlanta are definitely not as good and more crowded).

Hi Matt, Love new membership video's it gives es a local or someone that may move to the Atlanta area a good idea of costs. I,m very familiar with EZGo golf carts and the different models. The first and last courses you reviewed this video have the oldest Carts that are Acid battery golf carts and push & hold brakes. Those older carts need much more weekly maintenance. The middle two course had the newer 2019-2021 Lithium battery golf carts with automatic braking. There are many other differences between the older models and newer Elite RXV Series golf carts. Why any Prestigious golf club would keep the older models of EZGO carts around is beyond me other than being cheap. The majority of prestigious golf clubs are going to do three year lease contracts for the Newer Ezgo Elite series of carts. If a golf club does 20,000 or more rounds per year they easily pay for themselves and almost no maintenance other than washing, polishing and replacing damaged parts caused by customers. Keep up the great video's Callaway Bob Powell Butte, Oregon

I have only played 3 of them (I have never played Atlanta National - I have never been a fan of the "architorture" of PB's dad so I have never had much of a desire to play it). Of the 3 I have played, I like White Columns the best (biased because I won 3 tournaments there), then The Manor, then Polo (it's 3rd but still a good track).

ATL National is the hardest and best by far. You should have seen it 20 years ago before Clubcorp bought it and Bailey owned it. Waist high heather off the fairways. Greens that rolled 14. Immaculate condition!!! Phil played it back around 2000 and shot a 71 from the tips and said he played really well and that it was harder than most of the PGA tour stops.

As a current Member at White Columns, I can tell you that Management considers the Manor and White Columns "premier" courses and ATL National and Polo a tier below. I can definitively saw that overall, White Columns is the top one, followed by the manor, then Atl National, and lastly Polo. But that is just taking course conditions into account. If you want to take overall experience and amenities, I would swap Polo and ATL National as the latter is strictly a golf club and you might think some of the members there are a little more "serious" than at the others. Overall a great value for what you get, but if you are in the area, I'd suggest doing a video at Hawk's Ridge and The Golf Club of Georgia.

@braveheart-lg4bo3 жыл бұрын
Ranking in terms of playability for a 8-18 handicap: White Columns, Manor, National, Polo, ATL Nat is top tier conditioned, but really difficult as small misses lead to big scores. Also, Tom Doak thought the design missed the opportunity to utilize the creek that runs through the property. If you noticed, Mr. SG showed less of his game at ATL Nat. He likely hit very good shots that ended up in 12 ft deep bunkers that are not seen from the fairway. White Columns is very Fazio, very fair, but with nuance and interest that will bring you back. Manor is similar to White Columns. Polo is largely in a flood plain, and has a few weak holes.

Member at all 4. You actually played with a couple of buddies of mine at ATL National. They admitted they slowed you down so you moved ahead lol. All are solid courses. When it comes to clubhouses and amenities, def between The Manor and White Columns. But when it comes to just pure golf... 1. Atlanta National and it isnt close IMO. It has much more character than any of the 3, bc it isnt a standard GA course with the zoysia, rail road ties all over and the waste on a lot of holes. Plus there are 4-5 holes that are just incredible to look and and difficult. 2. White Columns, beautiful track with some pretty magnificent views on the small pond on a few holes. 3. The Manor. Great course and is always in good shape. There arent really any standout holes that WOW you. 4. Polo. Grew up on the course, same thing as the manor, other than the big downhill par 3, not many spectacular holes, plus the course condition is always just average. Havent played there in a year so idk how it is now. Good vid tho man! Love seeing all 4 of my courses on the channel
