@jeffyoung602 жыл бұрын
If .25 ACP pistols are derided as under-powered mouse guns, then why is it one cannot find any used .25 ACP pistols in gun stores? Your best bet is to check gun conventions. Yet, even .25 ACP pistol owners don't disagree the .25 ACP is underpowered, essentially a center-fire .22 LR. The reason is that the .25 ACP pocket pistol is still regarded as a useful, last-ditch, emergency personal protection firearm. It supports the old adage, the best gun in the world is the one on you when you most urgently need it. As one old-timer put it, I'd rather rely on my .25 ACP than on harsh language.

Well the GT70 is a gun you just can’t go wrong with. It’s simple, solid, small, and it never seems to fail. Trigger wears in great, good ergonomics, trigger block safety…i read somewhere years ago that it’s design traces back to good ol John Browning (besides the cartridge) so that explains a lot. Tanfoglio, Excam, FIE, Brna, even the $60 today zinc framed ones seem to do fine without blowing to bits. I never leave the house without it, but it does stay home on my trips to the range. Not that it’s not that inaccurate tho, fixed barrel is nice. Good shit for $75 then, good shit for $75 now.

I carry an FIE Titan usually, but also now have an Astra Cub. Despite the smaller sights, I have found the Astra to be MORE accurate than the Titan (at least for me) . Knocked down a coke bottle at 30 ft First time shooting!
@OldManMontgomery2 жыл бұрын
Notes: Those sights on this pistol are the same as most modern sights - except for being likely smaller. What is of note is the shooter hit that which was intended. He lined up the sights and made hits at up to twenty-five yards. (If those hits would have been effective is a different discussion, the sights are correctly positioned.) The demonstrator correctly mentioned this design was originally the Astra Cub. The best quality it has is to be very small. It is light and easy to hide. The small size makes it difficult to shoot well. Sights are correctly positioned, as mentioned, but hard to use in a hurry. The cartridge is horribly under powered.

Gun broker depends now how much you want to pay the raven you can get cheap there pot metal but the slide is heavier for that reason shoots good have video me shooting it clean it good steel firing pin springs and can’t find one for 150 of these guns are harder to find you can get a titan for 150 or more I have the titan which is similar to the beretta 950 jetfire .they shoot good . As these are harder to find other than a phoenix arms one prices have gone up lately .
@colin18189 ай бұрын
I own several. The Colt is my favorite and they can be had for as low as $400 (even on GunBroker). Especially if you're willing to buy one that was produced in Spain instead of Connecticut. The Raven was mentioned elsewhere and that is a viable cheap option. Not nearly as desirable as the Colt, mind you, but it will still go bang. And you can find them in Pawn Shops for about $100 with decent consistency. GunBroker would be a little more expensive but certainly less than $200. The Baby Browning of the various clones of it (Bauer and Fraser) are also available and fun. But you'll consistently find them for about $500. I prefer the Colt, but if you find a genuine Browning they're a fascinating piece of history. Beretta has a number of guns including the James Bond gun (Beretta 418) or something newer like the 950BS Jetfire. I haven't priced these but they're likely to be at least $500 just from name brand recognition. There are a bunch of cheap options you can consider. Guns from Astra or things like the FIE Titan are probably cheaper and will likely still function fine. I would avoid anything from the Ring of Fire other than the Raven. So anything from Jennings, Bryco, Jimenez or any of the other from the Jennings family are generally unsafe and I'd avoid.
