For the side of the car test the amount of dirt gets worse as you get closure to the front tire. The results get worse as you get closure to the front tire. I feel all 3 products are probably comparable and nothing is a stand out product. Cant go wrong with any of them

Koch Super Foam is clearly a great soap, but in my view I think it is just too strong for frequent use. The VDA certification is great and all, and it is safe, but I also think regular use is going to cause more degradation to plastic trims and rubber seals over time. For that reason, Touch-Less gets my vote. It strikes the right balance and for me is a perfect prewash that I can use on a regular basis, and then follow-up with a safe rinseless contact wash in the garage.

Love these tests. I've been using BH for the past couple of years and have been happy with the results. We don't have to contend with a lot of winter grime and road salts here in Texas, but we have a lot of bugs most of the year and the BH is really good at breaking them down. I also like the price of BH as it's just over half the cost of the KCX and Labo in 5L size. Keep up the great work!

I like Primus 2.0 because you can use it as a bucket shampoo too at 1:100. So, it's more versatile than the other two products and ultimately you still have to do a contact wash.

Great content Frank, as usual my dude! I used Super Foam and it was great but it stained my plastic trim on my daily driver Toyota CHR on regular use, just a little but still and i used it properly, but i still like it, it devours dirt. Since i jumped to BH Touchless in a sprayer, i use faaar less than in a foam cannon, super cost effective and it works almost just as well. Winter hit hard here too, it's a shame as i don't drive my baby BMW in this kind of weather. Cheers!

I’m the user of both BH and KCX and I can’t tell the difference between them, but I never have to deal with thick winter grime. I would humbly suggest that you layer them, or foam twice when dealing with thick winter grime, your SF+touchless spot confirmed that, because it’s the cleanest spot of your car. So if you use sprayer on dirty lower parts and wheels, and layer it with foam, the result will be amazing. From my research I know 2 popular layering methods, one is from UK where they spray citrus and layer with foam, second method is Scandinavian method where they spray tar remover and layer with foam. Maybe u can give it a go. Thanks for the test really appreciate it.

Touch-less works great through a ik multi and you use 20ml instead of 200ml. I can't see me changing any time soon. Not least because 1l will last me ages. And being uk based, BH is excellent value. Thanks for the demo. I think we have to accept that you need stronger chemicals in winter. So if you don't have a ceramic coating, lsp's need applying more often.

KCX clearly was on the cleaner side and BH on the dirtier side. Not 100% fair comparison. But the 3 did a pretty good job tho.

this is 4 weeks of winter beating, driving everyday in the wet,snow ice ,salt, the whole side is caked up, I get your point I thought about it, it may be, but humidity outside changed the whole look of the panels. The footage inside was relevant, the whole side is similar. Thanks for tuning in Nathan

Hey Frank , great comparison. I’ve used Bilt Hamber but not the other 2, I found the same as you that it only did an average job. I find on a ceramic coated car any good quality soap will do a great job of removing grit and salt. I think the specialised soaps work best on non coated vehicles. Thanks for taking the time that goes into making these videos.

Great vid! Try the process with pressurewashing left to right and from bottom to top. The water jet will shot off dirt more effective, compared when rinse from top and water rinse chemical away and leaves dirt. At least it works that way here in Sweden, but we may have different chemicals from icey roads.

Black paint + salt has been the death of this winter. Waited 3 weeks to wash my car and already have water/salt spots all over the hood to the point it looks like a giant grease mark. Guess I'll be picking up one of these now and doing a light hand polish on my ceramic after winter 😅

1 quick spay around the bottom of the vehicle with DARK FURY from superior products would have eliminated 90% or more of the dirt and grime , then you could have totally eliminated the pre wash . Not only do you save money on not using a prewash ….. the Dark Fury at 1 to 5 or 1 to 8 is minimal/cost considering you can get a gallon for about $24 directly from O’Reilly’s.

What's your take on Carpro Lift or DIY Incredible Suds Frank?
@Detailing_Dogma5 сағат бұрын
Hey turbo glad to you see again brother, I like incredible suds as bucket wash never really use it as pre-soak. Lift is Okay for summer style dirt, depends where you live, but any pre-wash is better than none. Any of those 3 in this video are leading the category for me. Cheers brother

That settles it then, once I use up my current pre-wash supplies I will have to get some Koch Chemie Super Foam. The fact that it only comes in 5L jugs doesn't bother me as that is how I like to buy all my products. I have been using CARPRO Lift for years but I don't think it gives results as good as what you showed here for Koch Chemie. For spring washing or really dirty cars, I usually add an oz of APC to the mixture to give it a boost but I'm willing to give something else a shot. Thanks Frank.

@@Detailing_Dogma The Eastern Canadian mixture of dirt, salt, sand, and whatever else they put on the road in the winter is its own special kind of "dirt". People that don't get to experience it have no idea how hard it is to clean, it's almost like it's sprayed on like truck bed liner it's so thick at times.

Hey Larry thanks for choosing my video! It was 8 degrees that day, pretty much the only week above freezing temp. About your question maybe not sure, none of the brands mention temperatures. Nice test. I would avoid using high pH soaps too often on a ceramic coated car (maybe once every 2-3 months). Closer to pH neutral is something I would use on regular basis.

lolz, overblown, never found it to be true. I mentioned it in the video. But you're free to believe what you want brother!
@zustroy5 сағат бұрын
@ pH neutral ones for regular washes, every now and then high or low pH solutions (3pH). Carpro Reset, Koch Chemie GSF... there are many other good ones. When you want to clean your ceramic coating every several months use high pH for the prewash and low pH for the wash phase.
@zustroy5 сағат бұрын
@ Any idea how could you test that scenario? Wash your car once or twice a week for longer period of time like 6 months. Use high and low pH solutions and share the results. Hm?

@@Detailing_Dogma i agree, I also would rather prewash every wash to completely avoid any marring even if it did weaken the coating

for prewash. just add 2 oz of DIY All clean or..2 oz Superclean APC/ degreaser to the soap in the foam cannon. save yourself a lot of $ it does the same exact thing.. gets off all the grit and loosens up the traffic film. no need to spend big money on prewash or touchless soaps... That's the detail industry making you think these products are the only way to get the same results... and that's all that matters ..safe results that doesn't empty your wallet

Superclean is hard on plastics and rubber at any effective cleaning dilution. You can still be your own chemist if you want though.
@joeschmoe69083 сағат бұрын
Sorry dude, I've tried that and it isn't quite as good. An actual prewash is significantly more effective than an apc, unless you're applying the apc undiluted. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely an option especially given the cost, but isn't just as effective.

I recently tried "Image Wash" system 1 and 2, and was blown away. I recently ordered 6 gallons for the shop as the most effective prewash and touchless wash compared to the three you just used. Saw this and checked their sds sheets, looks like both use caustic compounds for cleaning which isn't unheard of. Wondering if you used the system washes on coated cars and if you had good results.
@nicksdragon69295 сағат бұрын
@@ZacharyPerezIsZacchuu yes, I was hesitant at first and then called and got the full story. The second soap that goes on top of the first neutralizes the first and it is safe for coatings. They were designed as a maintenance wash. Call them, you'll be glad you did.
