I chuckled when Mr Brown hollered, “I got it” with the glass microwave plate. Those things can be a bugar. But I literally laughed out loud at the hair story. I can just hear the, “oh no! My mom and dad had their 61 year anniversary two days before thanksgiving. They both are in very bad health but they have talked about renewing their vows for years. My mom had to spend two weeks in a nursing home for therapy and was allowed to come home for thanksgiving day so the family decided to give them a gift. My son who is a former heavy drug user is now for 7 years (praise Jesus) attending church and living for the Lord and preaching a little bit at times did the unofficial nuptials reading from the Bible and had written a very beautiful letter he had written for them. They got their renewal as a gift and having their grandson do that for them made all the more special. It was such a precious time

Beautiful decorations. Miss Lori and Mr Brown you two work great together in the kitchen. Always fun to watch. I've never made fudge this way, but will now. We've always put our fudge to set up on the screened in back porch. Can't wait to see what candy's next. I always grab my pen and paper and write down the recipe.

The fudge recipe my grandma used, my mom used & now I use is simple (for me anyway). In a Lg. bowl & set aside - 3 sm. pkgs. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 4 cps. mini marshmallows (8 oz. pkg.), 2 cps. butter (I use unsalted, use what you prefer), 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 cps. walnuts or pecans. In a Lg. pan - 4 1/2 cps. sugar, 13 oz. can evaporated milk - bring to a boil & boil EXACTLY 6 mins. from the time it comes to a full boil. Stirring constantly. Remove from heat & pour over ingredients in 1st bowl & stir until all is dissolved. Pour into pans, smooth & chill. Store covered in the fridge. Makes: 5 ibs. So glad you had a good Thanksgiving & were able to spend quality time with your loved ones. You two are just great. Remind me of how my mom & dad were with each other & it never fails to make me smile. Ms. Lori, your home as usual is warm & cozy & your Christmas decorating compliments it all. This is the same recipe I learned to make when I was a teenager. We made it in a double boiler. There were no microwaves then. Very easy and fast and still my favorite fudge to this day.
