This is an example which illustrates precise measurements and exactitude making a tool that is not a waste of time. You have an excellent tool that is a work of art of heirloom quality. I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for sharing.

Great build! I think I'll make one. That router plane would work better if the grain orientation on the wood was 90 degrees to what it is. You're trying to plane cross grain which is more difficult than with the grain.

nice tool! only one tiny thing of critique is the nut you used for the knob if you used a screw in nut that would have looked nicer in my opinion, of course you could argue that you don't see it, but still. if you had add a baringer on one side you could gave used it also as a thin slicer jig or a kind of a feather bord on the table saw. than it had 8 options LOL food for thought! great job

That metal caliper you used to build this over-complicated and unnecessarily labor-intensive tool does all of the 6 functions and more!

@ I love making tools! Have been doing it for decades. I just don’t make tools that already exist and do a better job than whatever I can come up with.
@vferdmanАй бұрын
@ thanks for making videos. Your work is excellent. I just did not care for the idea of that tool. I’ve been using a metal caliper for marking out my wood work for years and it’s a treasure not many people realize exists. Most people think it’s a metal working tool, but it’s absolutely brilliant for woodworking.

Cóż, dla krytykujących pozostaje zakup Knipex'a za 250 zł, i jesli nie zarabiają nim na życie, do użytku raz w roku😂. Ja go kupię na pewno. Mam kilka narzędzi z Lidla i zasada: jaka cena taka żywotność narzędzia. Do ciezkich prac używam Milwaukee, do cięższych np. Parkside. Mam kilka narzędzi Knipex, min. nożyce do blachy. I jeśli zrobi je też Parkside, na pewno ich nie kupię. Tu nie ma kompromisów. Pozdrawiam. Acha, nie zarabiam narzędziami na życie. Hobbystycznie restauruję stare narzędzia. Od dłut po wiertarki.

Very NICE adaptation of STANLEY TOOLS "Odd Job", one of their first tools, HOWEVER yours, in my opinion does a better job, and with Modern Methods. I own a Replica Copy of the ODD JOB, mine is made in Canada, and cost maybe $75.00 American $ Very well Designed and Crafted from your direction of thinking, NICE philip, from the Great Pacific NorthWET, Oregon Division, USA
