regarding the 700 mile fax: Assuming 11 inch paper ('merica.. but A4 is not much smaller), 700 miles would require 4 million, 32 thousand pages to be sent. Late model fax machines contained enough memory for approximately 50 pages. It would require nearly 1 hour to transmit 50 pages. Thus, manufacturers strongly recommended batching large documents to several shorter calls. But, lets assume for a moment that the machine had a way to keep cycling memory, scanning more pages and staying on the call, allowing you to go beyond the 50 page limit. with an uninterrupted connection, at 50 pages per hour, it would take 80,640 hours. or 3360 days. over 9 years.

22:55 I hope you take a moment to read all this... I love to see that you have a soft spot for sentimental things. My mother was the same way. When she and I would watch some shows with scenes that tug at the heart, I'd see her smiling with a tear running down her cheek. Today at the age of 59, I find myself doing the same thing. I also tear up some when I see you tear up. God gave men tear ducts too so don't be afraid to use them. 😭

Thank you for sharing that. I think there's a natural instinct to hide emotions, particularly for men, but you're right it shouldn't be that way. That said more of it for me is if I let myself start I won't stop cry🥲 Kind of like the episode of Seinfeld where he opens his emotional faucet and can't close it again. Not sure blubbering is that entertaining, but maybe next time. Thanks again for your kind comment.

I once had a 97 year old lady neighbor. I was pretty much her only friend, which she greatly appreciated. Her mind was clear until the last months of his life. One day I showed her a modern rendition of Vera Lynn's song 'We Will Meet Again' by D-Day Darlings. Those eyes she made! Then she was in tears, and told me how she danced with her first love to this song when she was 19. He left to Europe the next morning.

Oh man, I hadn’t kept up with videos as I was so busy and now I’m down and out on my third chronic heart infection in as many years (yay for over active immune systems), so I’m catching up now as I’m ordered complete rest. And my goodness I couldn’t hold it together when I heard about that video the mother and son shared. I have that so much with things my little brother and I shared and his birthday is coming up on the 10th so I’m extra mushy and frail; even after 10 years the pain isn’t gone, it just became bearable. A few months back I was in the UK and the M20 was closed so I was rerouted to some backroads. I drove past a Premiere Inn that gave me goosebumps. It was the premiere inn my parents and I spend the night, on our way to Cardiff (where my brother lived) for his service after his body was released. That moment literally made me sick to my stomach, I felt instantly like we felt that evening before the service. It’s weird how we can match such deep emotions to places and things.

If you play a VHS tape and play it at the same point in a film over and over, after sometime the film will get worn out (its data on the tape) at that point on the tape, it happen to a VHS of Terminator 2 because it was played to many times and why we use DVDs now, and VHS tapes can get demagnetized.

I had a similar experience with a film my Brother and I both loved, Four Weddings and a Funeral, ofcourse we loved the fun Weddings and humour. After his death the funeral part of the film resonated with me and became an uncomfortable part of the film. One day the DVD refused to play and would never play again. It's not like I played it lots, so it should have still worked like the other films.

Asteroids Recharged. While the game itself has been around for about 3 years on home consoles, this is one of the first times anybody had seen it in arcade form. It's carries the full Atari license. Regarding the dates in the Goonies and the original Back to the Future, don’t put it past anything with Steven Spielberg’s handprints on it like both of those films to all be interconnected in the same universe. It’s a possibility that even Indiana Jones, the characters from Gremlins and Innerspace and Roger Rabbit live in that universe, to say nothing of the ones from Jaws, Jurassic Park, Close Encounters, Dreams or even a nonfiction feature like Schindler’s List.
